ROMA – A margine dello sciopero Alitalia del 5 aprile indetto per protestare contro i tagli del Piano Industriale 2017 – 2021, c’è spazio anche per parlare di espansione in termini di nuove rotte e di nuovi aerei di lungo raggio.
Se nell’immediato si parla di una messa a terra di 20 aerei di corto/medio raggio e dell’arrivo del nuovo Boeing 777-300ER, da qui al 2021 sembra sia programmato un inserimento graduale di 8 aerei di lungo raggio: 1 all’anno, tranne nel 2020 quando sono previste in totale 4 macchine.
Con queste nuove macchine si andrebbero a rafforzare alcune rotte già aperte (EZE, SCL e MEX) ma anche ad aprire nuove tratte da Roma Fiumicino, riportate qua sotto in dettaglio.
- 2017: apertura DEL;
- 2019: apertura IAD, SFO e LAD;
- 2020: apertura ACC, BOG, HKG, JNB, LOS, LBV.
Finalmente sembra che Alitalia voglia sfruttare la posizione strategica di Fiumicino per i collegamenti verso l’Africa: Accra e Johannesburg verrebbero riaperte, mentre Luanda e Libreville sarebbero delle new entry sul network Alitalia.
Particolare la scelta di voler operare la rotta su Delhi, un mercato altamente concorrenziale e con delle tariffe medie molto basse. Infine, per l’apertura delle rotte americane, servirà il consenso della Joint Venture Transatlantica ed è probabile che Alitalia debba cedere a qualche richiesta di Delta/Air France – KLM.
