Volato su un instanbul Atlanta Miami instanbul controlli inesistenti e praticamente potevi portare quello che volevi

Anche secondo me, serve a colmare il gap del sistema di entertainment che le compagnie straniere stanno per introdurre basato sul WiFi, cosa che le americane avranno problemi ad introdurre alla stessa velocità'.

Inoltre se hanno paura che qualcuno possa attivare l'esplosivo posto nel pc in cabina si dimenticano che i PC possono anche essere comandati da spenti dalla cabina ancehe se sono in stiva tramite uno smartphone.

Ad oggi una delle poche cose di cui si possono vantare in US e' di avere connessioni WiFi relativamente piu' veloci ed abbordabili grazie a soluzioni basate su antenne terrestri.
 
Aggiornamento, Abu Dhabi (quindi Etihad) e' stata levata dalla lista degli aeroporti inclusi dal divieto.

Abu Dhabi removed from US electronics ban list

US authorities have removed Abu Dhabi from a list of airports subject to stringent security measures covering electronic devices on US-bound flights.
Abu Dhabi, the base of Etihad Airways, had been one of 10 airports included in the US Department of Homeland Security prohibition.
But the department has lifted the ban on electronic devices, says Etihad, following the verification of security procedures at Abu Dhabi's pre-clearance facility for US services.
Etihad says the removal of the restriction is "effective immediately".
Passengers on flights to the USA had previously been prevented from taking large electronic devices into the aircraft cabin.
The ban is still in effect at other airports. But Abu Dhabi benefits from having a pre-clearance facility for US customs and immigration, effectively turning US-bound flights into domestic services.
Etihad serves six US cities: New York, Chicago, Dallas, San Francisco, Washington and Los Angeles.
US authorities have not extended the electronics ban to other airports but have ordered enhanced screening at some 280 airports from which carrier operate US flights.

The ban on U.S. flights from Dubai International, the world's busiest airport for international travel, has been lifted after new security measures announced by the U.S. last week were implemented, an Emirates spokeswoman said in a statement.

Emirates, the Middle East's largest airline and which flies to 12 U.S. cities, had blamed travel restrictions imposed by President Donald Trump's administration for a drop in demand on U.S. flights.

The Dubai-based carrier cut flights to five U.S. cities from May but had since said demand was starting to return on some routes.

Meanwhile Turkish Airlines said in a statement that passengers traveling to the United States could now take their laptops onboard.

Emirates and Turkish Airlines are the only airlines that operate direct flights from Dubai and Istanbul, respectively, to the United States.

The United States has lifted the in-cabin ban on laptops and other large electronic devices on U.S.-bound flights from Dubai and Istanbul, Emirates [EMIRA.UL] and Turkish Airlines (THYAO.IS) said on Wednesday.

The announcements come three days after the ban was lifted on Etihad Airways' flights to the United States from Abu Dhabi International Airport.

The ban on U.S. flights from Dubai International, the world's busiest airport for international travel, has been lifted after new security measures announced by the U.S. last week were implemented, an Emirates spokeswoman said in a statement.

A questo punto la mossa dell'amministrazione americana sembra meno stupida di quanto apparisse in origine. Non erano soddisfatti dei controlli di sicurezza in alcuni scali e, sembra, sono riusciti ad ottenere un miglioramento delle procedure
