"The Mediator proposed a solution yesterday evening.
The unions negotiation team and the management have accepted the proposed solution.
There will be a ballot held for the pilots organised in the union. End of July the result will be published, after that the mediation can come into force (everything else than a 90% acceptance among the pilots would be a huge surprise).
The solution clarifies and developes the existing scope clause. Basically Lufthansa's hubs FRA and MUC (where the money is made) will be protected from outsorcing to subsidiaries. Regional pilots enhance their perspective, new higher seat limit for them. However, future delivered EMB 190's will fly under DLH mainline.
Lufthansa Italia can hire their own pilots, but has to apply normal Lufthansa selection standards. It can not fly to Germany, only to other countries.
As a contribution to Climb 2011 (a cost saving program affecting every department within DLH), no inflationary salary increases until 2011, and 2 more blockhours per month until overtime kicks in.
Same pension and loss of licence plan for every pilot on the mainline seniority list, on the existing high DLH level.
Overall a real good result in my opinion.
