Air France annuncia un nuovo volo per Montevideo

Cresce il network sudamericano di Air France che, con il prossimo orario estivo, lancia un nuovo volo per Montevideo, capitale dell'Uruguay. Il nuovo collegamento sarà operativo dal prossimo 16 aprile e verrà operato con cinque voli settimanali come estensione del volo per Buenos Aires. Nell'estate 2013 il volo Parigi Charles de Gaulle - Montevideo verrà operato con velivoli Boeing 777-200 da 308 posti allestiti in tre classi di viaggio(34 in Business class, 24 in Premium Economy e 250 in Economy). Montevideo sarà la quindicesima destinazione sudamericana del gruppo Air France - KLM.
“Crediamo fermamente nella storia di crescita del Sud America, è un mercato dinamico dove noi abbiamo una lunga storia e una forte posizione di leadership. L'apertura di Montevideo estende ancora di più la nostra portata,”ha commentato Patrick Roux, EVP Americas di Air France - KLM.

Air France-Klm chiude il 2012 in profondo rosso.

Restano in rosso i conti del vettore franco-olandese Air France-Klm, che ha chiuso il 2012 con una perdita netta di 1,19 miliardi di euro (erano stati 809 milioni l'anno scorso), anche per effetto di un accantonamento da 471 milioni di euro per il piano di riassetto in corso. Il fatturato totale del gruppo - che detiene il 25% di Alitalia - è stato di 25,63 miliardi(+5,2%), con un traffico passeggeri in aumento del 2,1%, mentre crescono i costi soprattutto per il carburante (+890 milioni di euro, a causa soprattutto dell'apprezzamento del dollaro).

Air France Klm: conti in rosso per 1,19 mld nel 2012 da -809 mln -2-

Parigi, 22 feb - Gli investimenti del gruppo franco-olandese, primo azionista di Alitalia con il 25%, nel 2012 hanno totalizzato 1,47 miliardi di euro e le cessioni sono state pari a 745 milioni contro 2,43 miliardi e 1,17 miliardi rispettivamente nel 2011. Il cash-flow operativo e' positivo per 851 milioni. Il gruppo dispone di una tesoreria di 3,9 miliardi di euro e di linee di credito interamente disponibili per 1,85 miliardi. La holding Air France-Klm ha collocato un'emissione obbligazionaria di 500 milioni al tasso del 6,25% con scadenza al 2018. Passando all'andamento dei vari settori di attivita', il comparto passeggeri nel 2012 ha registrato un fatturato di 20,1 miliardi, in progresso del 7,2% con una perdita operativa in calo a 235 milioni da -375 milioni. Il cargo ha invece segnato un calo del fatturato del 2,7% a 3,05 miliardi e una perdita operativa in aumento a 222 milioni da -60 milioni.   • The Board of Directors of Air France-KLM, chaired by Jean-Cyril Spinetta, met on 21st February 2013 to approve the accounts for full year 2012.
    Jean-Cyril Spinetta made the following comments: "The year 2012 was characterized by a slowdown in global growth and recession in Europe, but nevertheless saw a sharp increase in the fuel price. Despite this very tough context, our results were in line with our expectations, with the first effects of the Transform plan enabling us to reduce the operating loss.
    Most importantly, it was a year in which our fundamentals were restored, as the first, necessary step towards the recovery of our group. Our working practices have been overhauled, industrial projects have been determined for each of our businesses while reducing costs and improving our financial position.
    In 2013 we will maintain strict discipline in terms of capacity management, investments and costs. 2013 will also see the full implementation of all our projects. It is therefore a crucial year for the success of the Transform plan, and the return to sustainable profitability. On behalf of the Board, I would like to thank the employees of the group for their commitment, and the work they have accomplished during the past 12 months."

KLM CEO Hartman to retire; Spinetta to exit by 2014

KLM CEO Peter Hartman will retire in July and Air France-KLM veteran Jean-Cyril Spinetta is planning to exit by no later than April 2014.
“The supervisory board of KLM has decided to accept the retirement of CEO Peter Hartman and to ask Camiel Eurlings to take over from July 1 this year,” Air France-KLM Group chairman and CEO Jean-Cyril Spinetta said, speaking at the company's results briefing in Paris Friday.
Eurlings is KLM managing director and EVP of Air France-KLM Cargo. He is also a former Dutch transport minister and Member of the European Parliament. “KLM remains in very capable hands,” Spinetta said, adding that Hartman will continue to advise the company.
Hartman told ATW he plans to spend more time with his grandchildren after his retirement. He will remain on the supervisory board of Air France-KLM and a number of other companies, and joked that his greatest challenge would be not taking on too much work.
Air France-KLM veteran Spinetta is also planning for retirement. Spinetta told ATW: “I also have a lot of grandchildren” and he added that he is also planning his exit. “The very last moment would be April 2014,” he toldATW.
Spinetta returned to his former position as Air France CEO in late 2011 following the departure of former Air France CEO Pierre-Henri Gourgeon. Spinetta was later replaced as Air France CEO by Alexandre de Juniac, although he has continued as group CEO and chairman.

Air France-KLM has now reported a cumulative net loss of EUR3.8 billion since March 2008 and a loss of EUR439 million since the merger between Air France and KLM in 2004. Although operationally solid, with load factors reaching 83% in 2012, it remains financially the weakest of the big three European legacy flag carriers and at the wrong end of the scale when it comes to labour productivity. Its medium haul passenger network and its cargo business are significant drains on its profitability.

Me ne sono accorto... però anche su una data di maggio il prezzo del biglietto è di circa il 25% superiore rispetto a qualche giorno fa :(
 
Qualcuno sa se è prassi per AF mandare in over la J? Non riesco a preassegnarmi il posto e il volo non viene più venduto in J
