New destinations
Madrid-Barajas Airport has begun the 2009 winter season with new companies and additional destinations as compared to last year (2008).
During these months, the 71 passenger transportation companies operating from Madrid-Barajas airport will flight regularly to 166 destinations, with an average of 1,220 flights scheduled each day.
New additions for this season compared to last winter for Madrid-Barajas airport include direct flights to Dallas Fort Worth, in Dallas; Gibraltar; Rygge, in Oslo; Sais, in Fez; Bamako, in Mali; Treviso, in Venice, Trapani, in Sicily; Nador; Lviv, in Ukraine, and Tozeur, in Tunisia. The increase in frequency of flights on last year's winter season is also noteworthy, including flights to Simón Bolívar/Caracas, Baneasa/Bucharest, New York, Doha and Tangiers, among others.
