ITA Airways experienced a lackluster past week - due to a few unexpected aircraft groundings, it was marred by cancellations and significant delays both on long haul routes, short haul, and even medium haul, with the Rome-Dubai route being most effected, seeing three out of six of this week's flights being cancelled - today's included. This comes amidst a summer with more than the usual number of AOG (Aircraft on Ground) events, along with the backdrop of ever-present issues with the Pratt & Whitney PW1100 and 1500 series engines, which have led to about 15% of ITA's total fleet being grounded - and that is with forward planning, not counting unexpected engine failures.
Find out which aircraft of ITA's 100 strong fleet are grounded, and since when, at the link below! The article is being regularly updated, though we will remind you of this from time to time!
