An Alitalia Airbus A319-100, registration I-BIMA performing flight AZ-358 from Milan Linate (Italy) to Paris Charles de Gaulle (France), was enroute when an expectant mother went into labour. The crew accelerated approach and landing to Paris Charles de Gaulle and landed safely about 15 minutes ahead of time. Shortly after landing, just after a medical team had entered the aircraft, a healthy baby boy of 3kg made his first cry followed by applause of the other passengers.
