Alle quattro di venerdì pomeriggio è stato chiuso anche lo spazio aereo svizzero. Lo ha comunicato l'Ufficio federale dell'aviazione civile che prevede di levare il blocco sabato alle 9. La nuvola di cenere dovrebbe passare sulla Svizzera nella notte.

Andando a buon senso, si puó spostare le rotte verso sud, ma in questo modo non si potrá mai accomodare TUTTO il traffico normale: se in una cittá chiudi 2/3 delle strade, quel 1/3 aperto difficilmente riuscirá ad assorbire tutto il traffico normale.
Esiste poi anche una componente tridimensionale della nube che magari stiamo trascurando: puó essere che seguendo rotte meridionalil a FL di crociera e scendendo di altitudine per l'atterraggio su sentieri pre-determinati si riesca a passare attraverso uno strato di "nube" che é non é pericoloso per i reattori, per cui magari é per questo che aprono per gli atterraggi per un predeterminato periodo di tempo.
E forse danno precedenza agli atterraggi per posizionare bene gli aerei che sono giá partiti e sono di ritorno invece di dirottarli, ed invece preferiscono non far partire aerei che poi non si sa se, quando e dove potranno rientrare.
Tutte supposizioni, per cui prendetele con le pinze.

Sul sito di FRA comunque alcuni voli dall'estremo oriente e dalla Turchia sono segnalati in arrivo.
(ANSA) - BRUXELLES, 16 APR - Anche per domani sono previsti significativi disagi al traffico aereo europeo, a causa della nube sprigionata dal vulcano islandese. Lo ha riferito Eurocontrol, l'ente europeo di controllo dell'aviazione civile, che ha convocato per lunedi' una teleconferenza per fare il punto sulla situazione. E' stato intanto confermato fino alle 7 di domattina il blocco dello spazio aereo in Inghilterra e Galles. La nube attesa anche in Svizzera, dove il traffico negli scali e' sospeso fino a domani.
Dubito possa arrivare in Italia subito, in nottata. Dipende dai venti, e per quel che so spirano da nord-est. Dipende dall'esatta direzione, ma per il momento non vedo pericoli per i cieli italiani.

Update on European air traffic situation - 15.30 CET

EUROCONTROL expects around 12,000 flights to take place today in European airspace. On a normal day, we would expect 28,000. Yesterday, 15 April, there were 20,334 flights.
Airspace is currently not available for operation of civilian aircraft in the following countries/areas: the UK (excluding Scotland), Belgium, the Netherlands, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland, Estonia, the north of France including all Paris airports, northern parts of Germany, parts of Poland including Warsaw airport and the Czech Republic.
Parts of the airspace in Ireland and Sweden have now opened. Stuttgart and Munich are still open.
Approximately 600 trans-Atlantic flights take place each day, 300 in each direction. Of the 300 flights that would usually arrive in Europe in the morning, today, between 100 and 120 arrived in Europe.
Forecasts suggest that the cloud of volcanic ash is continuing to move east and south-east and that the impact will continue for at least the next 24 hours.
The next update will be sent out to the press around 09.30 CET on 17 April 2010.
