Air China in 17JUL08's schedule update has unveiled its International schedule for 2008/09 winter season.

Airbus 330
In the winter season Airbus A330 will replace on Boeing 767 service on the long-haul routes, mainly Dubai, Athens, Stockholm, Munich. Service to London will also see A330 operating, replacing Boeing 747-400 and A340

Re-Routing / Suspension
*The Beijing - Dubai - Athens will become Beijing - Paris - Athens, retaining 2 weekly service to the Greek capital

*Beijing - Munich will be reduced from 5 to 4 weekly
*Beijing - Pyongyang will be reduced from 3 to 2 weekly
*Beijing - Frankfurt, CA965/966, will be reduced from Daily to 5 weekly
*Beijing - Xiamen - Jakarta reducing from 3 to 2 weekly

Frequency Increase
*The recently introduced Beijing - Sydney nonstop 3 weekly service will be increased to 4 weekly
*Shanghai - Melbourne nonstop service will be increased from 3 to 4 weekly
*Beijing - Delhi will be increased from 4 weekly to Daily
*Beijing - Shanghai - Sendai increase from 3 to 4 weekly from 01SEP08
*Beijing - Kunming - Yangon increase from 2 to 3 weekly
*Chengdu - Lhasa - Kathmandu increase from 1 to 2 weekly

Service Resumption
*Seasonal Daily 737-800 service on Beijing - Macau returns in 08/09 Winter season

non capisco, come mai devono ridurre le frequenze adesso se poi tendono ad arrivare fino a 4 daily dall'Italia??? come vanno i volo CA in Italia? quanto e' il load factor? ultima domanda: il code share con alitalia rimane, no?

Da notare come ormai i voli PEK-Europa siano progressivamente quasi tutti operati con i nuovi 330. Il "vecchio" jumbo rimane solo su uno dei due daily da Francoforte.
Al contrario i voli originanti da PVG (anche la CA 933 per Parigi da PVG via PEK) si stanno standardizzando verso i 340 che probabilmente sono basati a Shanghai (?).
