OTTAWA -- Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has announced all Canadian travellers returning from overseas will have to take a COVID-19 test at the airport when they land and quarantine in a designated hotel for three days at their own expense while they await results. He says that's expected to cost more than $2000. Those with negative test results will be able to then quarantine for the remainder of the mandatory two weeks at home, while those with positive tests will be required to quarantine in designated government facilities.
Canada's main airlines will also suspend service to all Caribbean destinations and Mexico starting this Sunday until April 30. Trudeau says it's important to further restrict international travel as more infectious variants of COVID-19 spread around the globe. In the coming weeks, non-essential travelers will also have to show a negative test before entry at the land border with the United States.
Trudeau has urged Canadians for weeks not to take any non-essential trips outside the country. And he has warned that the federal government could impose restrictions at any time that would make it harder for them to return. Quebec Premier Francois Legault has been urging Ottawa to require anyone returning from abroad to quarantine for two weeks in a hotel, at their own expense. Non-essential travel into Canada by most foreign nationals has been banned since the pandemic first began sweeping across the country last March. Anyone entering the country has been required to self-quarantine for two weeks.

Si ma 2000 CAD per 3 notti mi sembra tantino però... che è il President con tutte le attrezzature?
I 2000 CAD potrebbero essere per chi risulta positivo e deve farsi 14 giorni. Poi non mi meraviglio piú di nulla, in Indonesia per 5 giorni di hotel e 2 test vogliono 1000 euro. Non mi sorprenderei di quel prezzo in Canada per un hotel di fascia medio-alta per 3 notti, pasti e PCR, gli hotel li decidono loro. Ci stanno facendo un bel negozio con la storia della quarantena obbligatoria in hotel (vedi Thailandia con ASQ)

In Italia rispetti le disposizioni vigenti perché nel tuo anelito alla libertà esponi a rischio non solo te, ma anche il prossimo.
Non entri, e rimani a Cancun. Son stati abbastanza chiari, test negativo o non entri, adesso si è aggiunto l'hotel, che mmagino debba essere pagato in anticipo come funziona da tutte le parti. Gli australiani aspettanoda un anno per porter tornare, magari fosse solo una multa.

Anche in quel caso avresti potuto amazzare anche altri che potevano essere sulla tua strada pe neccessità.
Mi piacerebbe, in un periodo triste come questo, avere ricordi di un'epoca così innocente. Proverò a chiedere a mia madre e ti farò sapere, magari in PM così non continuiamo con l'OT.
Qui in UK il costo (pare, i dettagli non ci sono ancora) sia sui £150 a notte, di sicuro per posti tipo Travelodge o simili. Un po' come i test, la corsa alla gallina da spennare è in corso e vuoi mai che ci siano interventi governativi a fermarla (anche perchè ne stanno passando di certe che, fossimo in Italia, avrebbero aperto fascicoli almeno tre procure).
Tutta la Riviera Maya è piena di nordamericani allegramente senza mascherina, ammassati e che se ne fottono di tutto. Poi ti credo che sospendono i voli. Basterebbe un pò di buon senso per evitare di peggiorare una situazione già molto critica... e invece nada.
