Confirming speculation that arose when we previewed our new uniforms and brand color palette in recent months, Oscar Munoz (UA CEO) announced today at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Aviation Summit in Washington, D.C., that we will unveil a more modern livery design soon.
“It’s an evolution, not a revolution,” Oscar was quoted as saying, pointing out that the changes, while exciting, will be subtle in many ways (spoiler alert: blue will remain our primary color). Aside from the new uniforms, the updated look is already evident in the interiors of our recently acquired aircraft, like the Boeing 777-300, and in our United Premium Plus branding.
“We’ve been heading in this direction for a while now,” said Marketing VP Mark Krolick. “If you look closely, you can see new elements in many of our existing products and airport spaces. This is an exciting time at United, and refreshing the brand is an extension of that. It reflects a new era for our airline.”

In merito alle uniformi, invece:

OUR COLORS
Rhapsody Blue will serve as the foundational color across the entire uniform program—above and below the wing— while pops of color inspired by our new palette will accentuate each design and differentiate work groups (feedback that came directly from you!). From new patterns to colored inseams and kick pleats, our new uniforms will be uniquely United.

WHAT’S NEXT
Later this month, you may start to see some of these looks as more than 1,300 pilots, flight attendants and customer service employees will wear test the proposed pieces to ensure they meet the needs of day-to-day duties. Since this first wear test is focused strictly on fit and function, you’ll still see your peers in our current navy, grays and blues, versus our updated color palette.

On the Carhartt side, following two successful wear tests last year, we will begin “fit sessions” for Ramp Service, Tech Ops and Catering Ops employees in the spring. Stay tuned for more information about these sessions, where you will be fitted for the new program.

It's important to note that these photos feature a selection of pieces from each work group, and may not represent the final uniform program. We expect to roll-out the Carhartt program at the end of 2019 and the Brooks Brothers and Tracy Reese program in the first quarter of 2021.

L'attuale livrea non è vecchia, fusione fu all'inizio degli anni '10, no?
