As per 06DEC11 GDS timetable and inventory display, Emirates has rolled out first-wave of Summer 2012 Operation Changes.

Qualcuno mi può spiegare perchè, per fare un FCO-DXB-NYC (RT) con Emirates, ci vogliono diecimila euro in economy?
Se poi si prova a fare un LAX-DXB-SYD, rotta ben più lunga e assurda, ci vogliono solo duemila dollari?

stesso problema se si fa FCO-DXB(-GRU)-EZE (RT). Idem da LON...mentre mettendo la partenza da DXB il prezzo è di 9160 AED. E mi è sorta la tua stessa domanda...

L'ho visto diverse volte anche io, questo prezzo assurdo, vale anche se fai FCO-DXB-(Sud America). Io penso questo: mentre per andare in Australia, Dubai si colloca esattamente sulla rotta di volo e quindi fa da ponte occidente-oriente, del resto è l'elemento cardine del suo sevizio. Per andare negli States, gli Emirati sono totalmente fuori mano e nessuno sarebbe cosi' scemo di allungare il triplo del tempo specialmente quando la concorrenza europea e americana è molto economica su certe tratte. Come per dire: "non ci caschi, ma se ci provi ti stritolo"

In teoria sarebbe corretta come ipotesi ma è l'esempio del Los Angeles-Sydney via Dubai che fa cadere questa ipotesi, con un diretto LAX-SYD ci si mette meno della metà del tempo, però il prezzo EK per questa tratta è super aggressivo, mentre per un Europa-Americhe totalmente fuori mercato.
Il punto è questo: cosa frega ad Emirates se per adare da X ad Y impiego 10 o 30 ore? Alla fine è sempre un cliente che perdono...

In effetti si trovano voli LAX-SYD via Dubai a meno di 2000 $ a/r. Sintetizzando il discorso è questo: EK conviene per fare Europa-Africa/Asia/Oceania addirittura USA-Oceania ma non conviene per la tratta Europa-America, questo ce lo potrebbe spiegare solo Al Maktoum

In effetti stamattina opera il 777 sulla 097... possibile che l'hanno già tolto?!
 
Uppo questo 3ad per porre una domanda: attualmente nessuna frequenza da MXP per DXB ha configurazione di first class con le suites, giusto?

Emirates A380 Operation Changes in March / April 2012

As per 28FEB12 GDS timetable and inventory display, Emirates has re-assigned A380 operation for Johannesburg, London Heathrow, Rome and Seoul Incheon service. The airline is conducting checks for wing cracks on the Super Jumbo, after European aviation safety rules stepping required checks.

Most of the changes were already in effect since the week of 08FEB12, which this site did not cover.

EK761/762 01MAR12 – 30APR12 Boeing 777-300ER replaces A380

Dubai – London Heathrow Changes to existing A380 service, which temporary reduced from 3 to 2 Daily. 4th Daily A380 service postponed till 01MAY12

EK003/004 A380
EK005/006 A380 replacing 777-300 from 25MAR12 remains unchanged
EK029/030 A380 replaced by 777-300 until 24MAR12, 777-300ER from 25MAR12 to 30APR12

Dubai – Rome
EK097/098 05MAR12 – 31MAR12 A380 replaced by 777-300ER

Dubai – Seoul Incheon
A380 operation has been replaced by 777-300ER until 24MAR12

Earlier this site reported Dubai – Bangkok service receives 2nd Daily A380 operation from 01MAR12 to 31MAR12.
