Anch'io faccio il mio,seppur inutile,in bocca al lupo a tutti i dipendenti affinchè riescano a trovare in fretta una nuova collocazione lavorativa.
Ho usato JK nel 2011 da IBZ a MAD e mi aveva fatto una buona impressione.Peccato
 
Spanair collapse good for the routes of Vueling, Air Europa and Iberia, bad for Star Alliance

Vueling is the biggest beneficiary of Spanair’s collapse. The Barcelona-based airline had already announced routes to start later this year that targeted key Spanair markets, especially in Scandinavia.

So who gains from the demise of the Spanish-based Star Alliance member Spanair? The airline was not that long ago the second-largest at both Madrid and Barcelona airports. However, in just a few years, Spanair’s reduced operations from Madrid had seen it slide from second to sixth place, while at Barcelona, its passenger numbers grew by almost 7% last year and it remained the second-biggest carrier behind Vueling.

Vueling and more recently Ryanair have been exerting considerable pressure on the airline’s Barcelona network. Vueling was already competing head-to-head with Spanair on all bar one of its 16 domestic routes from Barcelona, and among its raft of recently announced new international routes from the airport were services to Copenhagen, Marseille, Munich, Nice and Stockholm, all of which were served by Spanair.

Spanair’s top 15 routes this winter, operated predominantly with 19 A320s and five A321s, were shared between Barcelona (nine routes) and Madrid (six routes). On the airline’s Madrid routes, competition came mostly from Air Europa and Iberia, while Vueling was the key competitor on most of the airline’s Barcelona routes.
54 routes this winter; almost 80% of capacity on domestic services

According to OAG data for early January, Spanair was operating 31 routes from Barcelona (of which 16 were domestic) and 15 routes from Madrid (of which 13 were domestic) plus nine other mostly low frequency routes. Since one of the routes was between Barcelona and Madrid, this means that the airline was operating a total of 54 routes this winter.
A total of 22 routes were international, although these only accounted for just over 20% of weekly seat capacity. Only seven of these routes were served with more than three weekly frequencies and five of these involved Star Alliance hubs (Madrid to Copenhagen and Frankfurt, and Barcelona to Copenhagen, Munich and Stockholm). Barcelona to Berlin Tegel can almost be counted as a hub route now that Lufthansa is expanding there, leaving just Barcelona-Algiers as a significant niche route. Destinations served with three or fewer weekly flights this winter include Bamako (in Mali), Banjul (Gambia), Belgrade, Hamburg, Helsinki, Nador (Morocco), and Tel Aviv.

Several airlines have quickly responded to the plight of stranded passengers by operating additional frequencies. Vueling has gone one step further and operates to Copenhagen and Stockholm from Barcelona today, Monday 30 January, and on Friday 3 February, even though these two routes are not scheduled to start full-time until 25 March.
The demise of Spanair leaves Star Alliance much weaker in Spain. Iberia (and soon airberlin) belong to oneworld, while Air Europa is a SkyTeam member. Much of the other capacity is shared between non-aligned low-cost carriers such as easyJet, Ryanair and Vueling, leaving Lufthansa as the biggest Star Alliance carrier now operating in Spain.

Visto il Grafico direi che AirEuropa ha tutto l'interesse a subentrare sulle rotte lasciate da SPANAIR , ad esclusione di quelle dove e' presente RYANAIR .

Air Europa è una compagnia di dimensioni medio piccole e dovrebbe aumentare decisamente la flotta per poter subentrare nelle rotte lasciate da Spanair. Mi sbaglierò ma per Air Europa nel medio periodo sarà difficile andare avanti come compagnia indipendente, o si ingrandisce aumentando decisamente la massa critica o si fonde con qualcun' ltro o sarà assorbita da un pesce piu' grande.

Sai non è facile, la mission di UX è crescere sul lungo raggio, tutto ciò che non apporta passeggeri ai suoi voli intercontinentali non è considerato strategico per l'azienda, fatta eccezione sulle canarie.

C'è del vero in quello che dici..
 
Sia venerdì sera, quando sono atterrato a Barcellona e la notizia era nell'aria, sia questo pomeriggio quando sono ripartito la situazione a El Prat era stranamente tranquilla. Giusto due persone davanti alla biglietteria di Spanair e la faccia dell'unico addetto che era tutto un programma quando gli hanno chiesto: "Riceveremo i soldi indietro, vero?"

In aereo stavo leggendo dal 'vicino' l'edizione catalana de El Mundo di oggi. L'articolo diceva che già tre mesi fa AENA era pronta a dare l'ok alla chiusura, ma la Generalitat aveva assicurato che Qatar avrebbe rilevato per intero la compagnia salvandola in maniera definitiva. Poi c'era un editoriale dal titolo piuttosto forte: "Spanair is not Spain", dove si sottolineava un certo sentimento di indifferenza nei confronti del valore 'nazionale' della compagnia, soprattutto dopo gli interventi a senso unico della Catalogna di questi ultimi anni

BARCELONA, 30 (EUROPA PRESS)

El consejero delegado de Vueling, Alex Cruz, afirma que la aerolínea presidida por Josep Piqué dará "prioridad en las entrevistas de trabajo --para ampliar plantilla-- a empleados de Spanair", en un proceso de búsqueda de personal que ya está abierto.

En rueda de prensa este lunes en Barcelona para explicar el papel de Vueling en Barcelona tras la quiebra de Spanair, ha expuesto: "Vamos a seguir contratando, vamos a seguir volando y con los mismos estándares de eficiencia que hasta ahora".

"Barcelona es la casa de Vueling, tenemos la responsabilidad de protegerla y el compromiso de seguir incrementando los viajeros de negocios --hasta un 50% de cuota de mercado, frente al 39 actual, con clase 'business' en todas las frecuencias-- y proveer de viajeros a los operadores de largo radio", ha añadido.

"No hay ninguna aerolínea en El Prat que haya incrementado tantos vuelos en los últimos años como Vueling, y es la que más va a contribuir en el futuro", ha remachado.

Respecto al apoyo público a Spanair, ha considerado que las instituciones catalanas nunca han criticado a Vueling, pero apostaron por otro proyecto: "Esperamos que ahora Vueling se convierta en la primera aerolínea del Gobierno y de las instituciones, no esperamos nada tangible --como inversiones--, sino ese reconocimiento".

Preguntado por las críticas de Spanair a Vueling por denunciar que recibía ayudas públicas, Cruz ha apuntado que son varias patronales aéreas las que han denunciado, y que en los últimos cinco años también han recibido denuncias la húngara Malev, Air Malta o SAS.

Tras lamentar la situación de Spanair y de sus empleados, ha afirmado: "No vamos a permitir que Barcelona se convierta en un aeropuerto low cost, en el que no se pueda asignar asiento, vender a través de agencias de viajes o fidelizar al cliente".

Respecto a la conectividad de El Prat, ha expuesto que Vueling apuesta por ella desde hace dos años, y al añadir ahora destinos y frecuencias, "El Prat se consolida como uno de los aeropuertos referentes para atraer aerolíneas de largo radio", y ya como cuarto aeropuerto europeo mejor conectado en corto radio.

NUEVAS RUTAS.

Vueling incorporará 33 frecuencias adicionales en la temporada de verano (del 25 de marzo al 27 de octubre) y cinco nuevas rutas que hasta ahora operaba Spanair: Berlín y Hamburgo desde Barcelona, y Tenerife, Las Palmas y Lanzarote desde Bilbao.

Gracias a ello, Vueling ve posible superar los casi dos millones de pasajeros en conexión que movió en 2011, a través de sus 72 rutas desde El Prat (número solo superado por Lufthansa en Frankfurt, Air France en Charles de Gaulle e Iberia en Barajas).

La aerolínea, que ya tenía previstos cinco aviones nuevos antes de la quiebra de Spanair, estudiará ahora nuevos contratos, pero por ahora no está interesada "en ningún activo en especial" de Spanair.

Cruz ha negado que hubiese reuniones por la quiebra de Spanair el jueves --la primera fue el viernes por la tarde--, y que la Generalitat hubiese pedido a Vueling que se quedase con Spanair.

Vueling ha recolocado a 5.000 pasajeros de Spanair hasta el viernes --cuando acaban las tarifas de emergencia, que se pueden comprar hasta esta medianoche-- y este lunes el dispositivo funciona "con normalidad y puntualidad".

Esta semana, Vueling ha añadido 12 vuelos extra, con destinos como Copenhague, Estocolmo y Palma de Mallorca

Davvero lodevole l'iniziativa di Vueling, anche se sistemare tutti e 3000 gli ex Spanair (fonte TVE) non sarà facile, ma ogni contributo sarà importante

Se Vueling inizia a prendere soldi dalla Generalitat per tenere alto il nome di Barcellona e della Catalogna, potrebbe facilmente distruggere la concorrenza delle altre low-cost & low-fares

Sia Vueling che ryanair stanno facendo a gara Petr riaprire rotte e frequenze operate da spanair. Chi resta escludo al momento da questa operazione di accaparramento di pax e quote di mercato é. Air Europa l'unica major a poterne approfittare ma evidentemente i tempi decisionali delle low cost sono molto più veloci e snelli e li hanno bruciati sul tempo.
 
Mi accodo alla richiesta, dicci cosa bolle in pentola in casa UX.

Alt alt alt :) Forse mi sono spiegato male e sono stato frainteso: intendevo che effettivamente le dimensioni della compagnia sono troppo piccole per poter competere in un mercato globale, detto ciò per il momento non vi è alcun discorso di acquisizione.

la bancarotta di Spanair potrebbe favorire un ritorno di IB? altre legacy che per quesot potenzino la rotta? (ci vedrei LH a colmare il gap lasciato dai voli JK)
