Per GDS timetable display on 02MAR10, SWISS on 11JUL10 is adjusting Zurich – Johannesburg service. Outbound service operates under normal schedule. However, inbound flight on 11JUL10 is canceled and moved to 12JUL10.

DELTA Increase Atlanta – Johannesburg Jun – Aug 10



In addition to extra flights during World Cup, DELTA is adding additional flights on Atlanta – Johannesburg in July and August as well. In total, the Skyteam carrier is adding additional 17 round-trip flights,from June to August.

07.04.2010 ore 12:17: In occasione dei Campionati Mondiali di Calcio che si terranno in Sudafrica dall’11 giugno all’11 luglio, Tap Portugal incrementerà i collegamenti operati sulla capitale Johannesburg. Dal 7 giugno al 15 luglio saranno disponibili 30 voli complessivi, 13 in più rispetto a quelli previsti dall’orario estivo standard. A partire da giugno saranno 63 i voli settimanali operati dall’Italia per Lisbona con partenza dagli aeroporti italiani di Bologna, Milano Linate e Malpensa, Roma e Venezia. Con l’inaugurazione delle rotte su Marrakech e Algeri, inoltre, Tap vede il consolidamento della propria strategia di crescita in Africa, unico segmento che nel 2009 ha registrato un dato in crescita (+6,4%). Dal 2001 ad oggi si è registrato una crescita costante con il passaggio da 236.000 a 541.000 passeggeri (pari al 129%).

Lufthansa flies German team to Johannesburg with A380

Premiere of the new Lufthansa flagship at World Cup with Football Association (DFB) delegation and fans on board

The Lufthansa A380 will celebrate its first long-haul flight in style with an array of special guests on board: The special flight operated by Lufthansa’s new flagship on Sunday, 6 June, will be carrying the German team to the 2010 World Cup in South Africa. The A380, with flight number LH2010 on the Frankfurt-Johannesburg route, leaves Frankfurt Airport at 20.30 hours and will arrive in Johannesburg at 8.15 hours local time. In addition to the team, DFB trainers and assistants, around 150 soccer fans will also be making the journey on the A380. The fans will be attending the send-off for the team in the Business Lounge at the flight departure gate and taking part in a talk session prior to the flight with Team Manager Oliver Bierhoff, Football Association General Secretary Wolfgang Niersbach and the players. They will also be presented with an exclusive Lufthansa World Cup fan kit.

Captain Jürgen Raps, Member of the Lufthansa German Airlines Board and Chief Pilot, will be in charge of the special flight on the flight deck. Supporting him in the cockpit are Captain Raimund Müller and Captain Werner Knorr. The cabin crew consists of two pursers and 19 flight attendants. “The A380 is heralding a new dimension in aviation. I hope that the journey on this aircraft will inspire our national team to new dimensions at the World Cup,” said Jürgen Raps. “We are thrilled to be the first guests on board Lufthansa’s biggest and most modern airliner and hope after a relaxed flight to realise our sporting ambitions at the World Cup in South Africa,” said Team Manager Oliver Bierhoff. LA NAZIONALE IN SUDAFRICA CON ALITALIA: FIRMATO L’ACCORDO IN FIGC

ROMA 23/04/2010

La Nazionale Italiana volerà in Sudafrica con Alitalia. La compagnia aerea è entrata da ieri a far parte della famiglia azzurra come partner ufficiale, grazie all’accordo raggiunto e firmato nella sede della Federcalcio dal presidente della Figc Giancarlo Abete e dall’amministratore delegato di Alitalia Rocco Sabelli, fino al 31 dicembre 2010. La compagnia aerea, partner ufficiale anche di Casa Azzurri, sarà dunque presente ai prossimi Mondiali di Calcio con il suo marchio.
