Come si dice in Inglese "let's get on with it"!

Etihad could switch 787 options to equity partner airlines.Etihad has 37 options 25x B787-9 and 12x B787-10

article in flightglobal for subscribers only so i can't read it but it would be an interesting move.Don't you think?

Etihad Airways says it has the option of switching out Boeing 787 options to carriers it has stakes in if needed in the future."We can swop positions and purchase rights options," says Etihad chief commercial officer Peter Baumgartner at an event to unveil the airline's first Boeing 787-9 at Boeing's facilities in Everett.Baumgartner's remarks were in response to questions on Air Berlin's recent cancellation of all 15 orders for the 787-9, along with cancellation of 18 737s. Etihad has a 29% stake in Air Berlin.Baumgartner says Air Berlin's decision was made by the carrier on its own. "The decision was not taken in any Etihad context," he says. "We have options and purchase rights to accelerate or let partner airlines to participate in our order book."Etihad holds 12 options for the 787-10, which it has 30 firm orders for, Flightglobal's Ascend Fleets shows. The airline has orders for 41 787-9s.The carrier holds stakes in several airlines around the world, including Aer Lingus, Air Berlin, Air Serbia, Air Seychelles, Jet Airways and Virgin Australia. It is also in the process of acquiring a stake in Alitalia and Swiss carrier Darwin Airline, now operating as Etihad Regional.Of these airlines, only India's Jet Airways has orders for the 787. It has orders for 10 787-9s, and 10 options for the 787-8, Ascend Fleets shows.

Etihad, Air Berlin codeshare agreement in jeopardy

Etihad Airways (EY, Abu Dhabi Int'l) could lose access to 30 routes currently operated by equity partner Air Berlin (AB, Berlin Tegel) under a codeshare agreement should Germany's federal aviation office (Luftfahrt-Bundesamt - LBA) decide against their pending renewal.

Quoting anonymous sources close to the negotiations, German daily, Handelsblatt, said in a report on Monday that the LBA will not likely renew the codesharing rights claiming their initial approval was granted in contravention of an existing Bilateral Air Services Agreement (BASA) between the United Arab Emirates and Germany. According to the Handelsblatt report, the routes affected are codeshare services within Europe and not Air Berlin services to Abu Dhabi.

In its defence, Air Berlin claimed on Tuesday that authorities were trying to reinterpret the provisions of the BASA during its annual review of the airlines' winter schedules. The carrier said that since the codeshare agreement began in 2012, the LBA has approved all six flight schedules.

"The Ministry of Transport is seeking to create a new interpretation of the Air Transport Agreement which fundamentally alters the provisions in respect to flights due to be operated in a few weeks," Air Berlin said in a statement to Reuters.

Air Berlin and Etihad management have held urgent talks with the German Ministry of Transport in a bid to salvage the routes, whose loss would be severe to both carriers.

Etihad's European operations, and equity acquisitions in particular, have come under close scrutiny from European regulators who are concerned about the extent to which the airline exercises control over its portfolio, which also includes Air Serbia (JU, Belgrade), Darwin Airline (F7, Lugano), Aer Lingus (EI, Dublin Int'l), and now, Alitalia (AZ, Rome Fiumicino).
