continuano gli abbandoni in casa FR....

The Football Association of Ireland today announced the appointment of Peter Sherrard as its new Director of Communications. Peter, who is currently Head of Communications with Ryanair, will take up his new role with the FAI from May 13.

In this position, he will assume overall responsibility for the FAI’s corporate communications and will lead the management of the Association’s media relations, corporate relations and website development.

A graduate of Trinity College Dublin, Peter Sherrard holds a BA Hons degree in French and Italian. Between 1998 and 2002, he worked in marketing for Bord Bia and Bord Failte in Milan before being appointed Ryanair’s Country Manager for Italy, the airline’s second largest market, in 2002. From that post, Peter was promoted to Ryanair’s senior management team in Dublin, as Head of Communications with responsibility for Ryanair's communications across 26 European countries, a position he has held since December 2004.

The appointment comes at a busy time for the FAI. Besides the new international senior team management launch, Peter will play a key role in the realisation of FAI’s development objectives including the new stadium, the development of the national training academy at Abbotstown, the Eircom League of Ireland and increased funding for grassroots development.
