United opens hiring process for flight attendants
To meet our staffing needs for the 2015 summer schedule, United has opened flight attendant recruitment for subsidiary CO. The upcoming aircraft schedule reflects an increase in flying for summer 2015, which is primarily the result of additional Boeing 787 deliveries and higher utilization of Boeing 737s. The amount of new hires that we will need is currently under review, and the placement of new hires will be based on the planned levels of flying.
New-hire flight attendants will help us address base rebalancing needs and may facilitate a more flexible exit date schedule for some early-out flight attendants. In addition, the new hires may allow more flight attendants who wish to participate in the early-out program to do so. We will evaluate our staffing needs after the bid closes on Oct. 30.
