Turkish Airlines rileva il 49% di B&H Airlines

Il governo bosniaco ha dato l'OK a Turkish Airlines per rilevare il 49% delle quote del piccolo vettore di bandiera con base a Sarajevo/Butmir.

TK si impegnerà ad investire 10mln di euro nello sviluppo di B&H Airlines portando la flotta da 2 a 4 unità.

Attualmente, B&H Airlines opera con un parco aeromobili costituito da 2 Atr-72 e vola attualmente da SJJ verso : Mostar, Banja Luka, Zurigo, Francoforte, Stoccarda, Colonia/Bonn, Skopje ed Istanbul...oltre che da Mostar ad Istanbul e Stoccarda (via Mostar)...e da Banja Luka a Zurigo (via Sarajevo).

TK fornirà un aeromobile da almeno 100 posti per coprire nuove rotte e potenziare quelle più trafficate (Francoforte, Zurigo ed Istanbul) dalla primavera 2009 ed un altro dai primi mesi del 2010.

Turkish aumenterà inoltre, dal prossimo Marzo, le frequenze op.by own-metal da 5xw a 7xw sulla SJJ-IST.

Speriamo sia la volta buona per il ritorno di voli di linea da Sarajevo per Roma e/o Milano !

Si chiamava "Air Bosna", che poi è divenuta l'attuale B&H Airlines. A FCO operava principalmente con Fokker50 proprio su Sarajevo via Mostar come riporti correttamente.

Turkish Airlines to buy Bosnia carrier -report

SARAJEVO Dec 30 (Reuters) - Turkish Airlines (THYAO.IS) will acquire the remaining 51 percent stake in BH Airlines, flag carrier of Bosnia's Muslim-Croat federation, early next year, Dnevni Avaz newspaper reported on Thursday.

Turkish Airlines bought 49 percent in BH Airlines in 2008 in a joint venture deal under which it provided 5 million euros

($6.6 million) to cover the costs of leasing two aircraft and pledged to invest an additional 5 million euros.

The Bosnian carrier's officials told the newspaper the sale would go ahead after the new Muslim-Croat federation government takes office, though this process has been slow and power-sharing negotiations are still going on three months after a general election.

If the process drags on the sale may be approved by the outgoing government to avoid the closure of the company, the paper quoted an unnamed source as saying.

Officials of the BH Airlines and the federation privatisation agency were not immediately available for comment.
