CRJ1000 certified by Transport Canada, European Aviation Safety Agency
Bombardier Inc. said Thursday Transport Canada and the European Aviation Safety Agency have awarded aircraft-type certificates for its 100-seater CRJ1000 Next-Gen regional jet.
The jet was launched early in 2007 and the prototype aircraft made its inaugural flight from Mirabel late in 2008. Flight testing was conducted from the company's test centre in Wichita, Kan. All CRJ family regional aircraft now have the same rating.
