The tail strike was not the reason for the go around. Check the news articles on the day animals were spotted on the runway causing issues. As a result of the go around at very low altitude the tail struck the ground.

Da profano a me sembra ci sia piuttosto del bel traverso e un rateo di discesa assai deciso, troppo deciso. Da una bella botta e rimbalza...

Il video postato non si riferisce all'incidente di cui oggetto, se ho ben capito. Nel video si vede un atterraggio deciso, con piccolo rimbalzo e poi roll out, nell'incidente riportato vi è stato un baulked landing.

ah....ok...beh in tal caso il video e' totally misleading! Prima dice "A close call back to SEP 2020" ma i commenti su FB sono tutti in disquisizione del video stesso...come se appunto fosse relativo a poche ore fa...

Credo che il nella prima parte del video ci sia il "close call" dello stesso aereo mesi fa, poi andando avanti si vede l'aereo in avvicinamento, poi in go-around (quindi non si vede il momento del tailstrike) e poi successivamente l'atterraggio (normale) su una pista diversa

Ma ci è mancato davvero poco

I piloti su FT dicono che non e' stato un tail strike, il mio vicino di casa pilota BA dice che non e' stato un tail strike, l'aereo ha continuato per GVA... ma oggi non vola.

The A321 NEO has an electronic tail bumper to prevent tail scrapes. The flight control laws of the fly by wire system will stop the tail from actually hitting the ground in a situation like this. So while the video looks dramatic, it is just a baulked landing.

I can confirm from BA there was NO tail strike. Hence why it flew to GVA shortly afterwards. It did look close though granted.

Il just a baulked landing non è tanto just, a parer mio. Poi può sempre provare a riattaccare così al suo simulatore e vedere se l'esaminatore gli/le dirà che è just a baulked landing.

,praticamente impossibile con Airbus fare tail strike durante l’atterraggio piuttosto più probabile in decollo , infatti bisogna metabolizzare il concetto che una volta che l’aereo riattacca ( go around) la seguente manovra è tecnicamente un “ decollo “ .
in tutta la famiglia Airbus l’unico che rischia il tail strike al decollo è proprio è il 321 , gli altri sono abbastanza indenni .
se non ha “ grattato” è sicuramente una questione di millimetri , anche perché una ispezione dopo l’atterraggio lascia pochi dubbi
