Sri Lankan Airlines has decided to re-commence scheduled flights to Australia from next year. In addition, the airline would also fly to Guenshu (china) from next month.
Minister of Aviation Priyankara Jayaratne said that would be acquiring additional flights to launch this operation.
The flights to Australia were withdrawn after the LTTE destroyed some of the airlines air crafts in attack at Colombo Airport.
He said that in addition the budget airline, Mihin Lanka is contemplating to fly to Singapore this year. “This would be a stop over flight on route to Jakarta.”
The service is expected to be thrice weekly and would be offering the lowest air fare in the market.
