The crew declared PAN PAN, levelled off at FL100 continuing on present heading and attempted an engine restart, which was successful. The crew cancelled PAN PAN and continued the flight to Milan for a safe landing about 90 minutes later. The aircraft remained on the ground in Milan for about 50 hours, then returned to service. The BAAI Malta (Bureau of Air Accident Investigation) rated the occurrence an incident and opened an investigation. |
