Ryanair ha annunciato che la base di Belfast City verrà chiusa dalla fine di Ottobre, cancellando tutti i voli, chiamando in causa il fatto che l'allungamento della pista si sta protraendo alle calende greche.

FR attualmente offre voli da BHD per Stansted, Bristol, Liverpool, East Midlands e Prestwick.

FR continuerà ad operare in Ulster, solamente dallo scalo di Londonderry.

Ryanair, Europe’s favourite airline, today (31st Aug) announced that it would close its Belfast City Airport base at the end of the current summer schedule on Sun 31 October 2010, following the airports confirmation that the public inquiry into the promised runway extension will be further delayed, thereby delaying yet again the launch of Ryanair low fare flights from Belfast City Airport to destinations all over Europe.

Già tolti dalle vendite i 5 voli a partire da tale data...
 
Una volta ogni tanto questi ritardi epocali non sono solo nelle infrastrutture in Italia...
 
Ricordo che in UK, verrà anche chiusa dal 30 Ottobre al 31 Gennaio la base di Bournemouth.

su EMA anche BMIbaby si e' mossa la scorsa settimana, annunciando l'incremento da 2 a 3 daily (nella maggioranza dei giorni) del volo EMA-BFS (era gia' 3 daily prima che arrivasse FR su BHD).
 
quindi FR preferisce tenere gli aerei al prato quest'inverno che continuare ad operare da BHD con limitazioni a 160 pax, de gustibus
