Il concetto mi pare davvero molto valido, interpretando secondo me alla perfezione il concetto di Premium Ecomony: sedile più comodo, molto più spazio per le gambe e servizio leggermente differenziato rispetto alla Y.

Il tutto si giocherà sul prezzo, ma si ipotizza sia di circa 3/400€ in più rispetto alla Y: su tratte lunghe un premium di 200€ a tratta per questo tipo di prodotto mi pare più che commisurato

Veramente bella a mio avviso. Sobria, elegante, colori tenui, spaziosa... Brava Lufthansa, davvero un bel prodotto. Poi la configurazione 2-3-2 sul 748 è davvero spaziale!

Quoto.
L'aumento di prezzo rispetto alla Y sarà in media di 600€ su un AR. Non proprio bruscolini.
Secondo me questo prodotto può anche essere una valida alternativa alla J nei viaggi diurni, dove il flat seat di norma non serve.

Avendo letto "The premium economy seats on the Boeing 747-8I are arrayed in a 2-3-2 or 2-4-2 layout (depending on the aircraft in which they'll be installed) compared to the tighter 3-4-3 of the main economy section." davo per scontato che sarebbe stata 2-3-2 anche sul 748 dove si sta comodi anche in 2-4-2 :D

È il mock up di un 330/340 e dietro la Y è 2-4-2. A che ora sei andato a letto ieri sera? :D

Additional services for Premium Economy passengers

With a baggage allowance of two items weighing up to 23 kilogrammes each, passengers can take twice as much free luggage with them compared with Economy Class. For an extra EUR 25, passengers can also enjoy the comfort of the Lufthansa Business Lounges before their departure. Lounges were previously only open to status customers and are otherwise unavailable on a paying basis. Check-in and boarding procedures as well as hand luggage regulations are the same as in Economy Class.

An enhanced service awaits Premium Economy passengers on board: They are greeted with a welcome drink and will find their own water bottle as well as a high-quality amenity kit with practical travel accessories at their seat. Meals are presented on menus commensurate with the new travel class and served on porcelain tableware.

Lufthansa launches premium-economy class

Lufthansa presented its new premium-economy class at the ITB tourism fair in Berlin. The new seats are part of a €3 billion ($4.13 billion) service investment (excluding new aircraft orders).

“The new premium-economy class seat offers 50% more space compared to economy class. It offers a seat pitch of 38 inches and includes a 12-inch monitor for inflight entertainment. We have invested €170 million in this new product and are expecting to generate €1 billion in additional revenue,” CCO Jens Bischof said during the presentation. He called the new product “Lufthansa’s biggest service initiative in recent years.” The first flight with the new product will be in October.

A total of 3,600 new premium-economy class seats should be installed on all 106 long-haul aircraft next year. The first installation will be on the Boeing 747-8I fleet, which will be completed by November 2014, followed by the Airbus A340 and A380 fleet.

“The number of premium-economy seats will vary between 21 on the A330 and 52 seats on the A380. On the A380, premium economy will be located on the lower deck,” Bischof said. In all, 10% of seats on Lufthansa’s long-haul fleet will be premium-economy class.

The installation of 7,000 business-class seats in the long-haul fleet will be completed during the summer of 2015.
