Lufthansa dopo ben 16 anni di assenza torna a servire Nairobi. Il volo sarà operato coi 343 nella nuova configurazione leisure ad alta densità.

Lufthansa Resumes Nairobi Service from late-Oct 2015

Subject to Government Approval, Lufthansa from 25OCT15 is resuming service to Kenya after 16 years of hiatus, with a 4 weekly (Day x135) Frankfurt – Nairobi operation on board Airbus A340-300 aircraft. Service will increase to 5 weekly from 17DEC15.

From 25OCT15, service operates with Lufthansa A340-300 aircraft in 2-class configuration of C30M249. Premium Economy Class service will be introduced from 17DEC15 (C30E28M221), however this route will be transferred to Cityline operation with High Density configuration of C18E19M261.

Lufthansa last served Frankfurt – Nairobi in March 1999 with 3 weekly Airbus A310 operation.

brussels airlines from 25OCT15 is adjusting operations to East Africa, which includes the cancellation of Nairobi service. As a result, the airline will re-route selected flights for Bujumbura and Kigali. Planned changes as follow.

Aggiornamento: le prenotazioni della nuova rotta LH per Nairobi sembrano andare male visto che la compagnia ha deciso di cambiare l'aereo con cui sarà operata passando dal 343 ad alta densità a un 737 Privatair con soli 86 posti. Inoltre le frequenze nella summer 2016 vengono ridotte da daily a solo 3x week.

Lufthansa Nairobi Service Changes Oct 2015 – Aug 2016

Lufthansa has revised planned operation for Frankfurt – Nairobi service, due to begin on 25OCT15. Latest revision sees service operated by 2-class Boeing 737-700 aircraft by Privatair, replacing Airbus A340-300. Operational schedule changes is also in effect.

The aircraft change results in major capacity decrease from 279 seats to 86 seats per flight. The configuration of Boeing 737-700 is C20M66.

The Boeing 737-700 operation is currently scheduled until 31AUG16 inclusive (A340-300 from 01SEP16). During summer peak season in 2016, LH will serve 3 times a week, instead of planned daily flight.
