The first Airbus ACJ319 corporate jet with Sharklet winglets was delivered late last week to an undisclosed customer, marking the debut of this aerodynamic feature in the Airbus corporate line-up. The devices improve field performance and, more importantly, cruise efficiency by reducing drag. This increases range and, had the Sharklet-equipped ACJ319 being flying direct from NBAA 2013 here in Las Vegas, Airbus says the aircraft could now reach as far south as southern Chile, as far west as southern Japan, or as far east as the shores of the Black Sea.
