BA is to stop flying between Belfast and Birmingham later this month.
The four-times daily service, which is operated by British Airways' low-cost wing BA Connect, will come to an end on August 21.
Passengers who have already booked tickets for the route will be offered a full refund or will be booked onto a flight with another airline.
BA Connect chief David Evans said the decision to stop the route was a difficult one but that ticket uptake could not sustain it.
"Passenger numbers on the route have been extremely disappointing and despite our best efforts we see no prospect of passenger levels improving in the near future," he commented.
BA Connect will also pull its Southampton to Glasgow service at the end of October. cheapfligh
