Con Finnair una spa per i pax in transito a Helsinki
Adiacente alla lounge e pronta per l’autunno 2009

Finnair aprirà un centro wellness con spa, nell’autunno 2009, adiacente alla nuova lounge “via. Helsinki” dedicata ai passeggeri in transito nell’aeroporto di Helsinki. Offriranno trattamenti ai passeggeri Finnair che viaggiano tra Europa e Asia. La lounge e spa sarà costruita nella nuova estensione del Terminal Non-Schengen dell’aeroporto e coprirà un’area di 1.580 mq. Avranno accesso i membri frequent flyer Finnair e Oneworld appartenenti ai tre livelli superiori, nonché i passeggeri di business class e, a pagamento, anche tutti gli altri passeggeri dei voli Finnair e Oneworld. Certo che queste spa negli aeroporti vanno di moda!
Non ho mai fatto un intercontinentale, ma qualche massaggio potrebbe sempre rivelarsi utile!

Finnair's new Premium Lounge at Helsinki airport will offer a sauna and spa when it opens in the summer.
The 470 sqm facility is adjacent to the existing lounge near Gate 36 in the non-Schengen area of the airport.
It will open to Platinum and Gold Plus members and their guests, plus other Oneworld top tier fliers, on July 1.

The lounge features separate areas for working and relaxation and seats up to 122 guests.
Customers of both the new and existing lounges will enjoy access to completely new private shower suites, as well as a Finnish sauna.
Designed by the Helsinki firm dSign Vertti Kivi & Co, the Premium Lounge is said to be a showcase for classic Nordic design.

Complimentary meals are plated on Marimekko tableware or served in Iittala Ultima Thule glasses, first designed for Finnair in 1968 by Tapio Wirkkala. Furniture includes Tulip and Womb chairs created by Eero Saarinen.
"This new and exclusive lounge takes Finnair’s long association with Finnish design to a new level," said Markku Remes, Finnair's manager of lounge and VIP services.
