James Hogan, ceo di Etihad Airways, oggi a Milano per celebrare i cinque anni del volo da Malpensa, fa un bilancio di questa attività: "I passeggeri trasportati da settembre 2007 sono stati oltre 417mila, e puntiamo a raggiungere quota 500mila entro aprile dell'anno prossimo. Intanto, nel 2012 i voli tra Milano ed Abu Dhabi hanno registrato 140mila pax, con un incremento del 27% rispetto all'anno scorso".
Il load factor si aggira sul 75-76%. E il manager non nasconde la volontà di ampliare l'investimento. "Pensiamo al raddoppio da Milano, ma anche all'espansione da Roma. Abbiamo la capacità per farlo, ma occorre ovviamente verificare la redditività delle rotte".

Piano espansione Malpensa dipende da rimodulazione traffico Milano, 26 set - Alitalia ed Etihad Airways rafforzano la collaborazione sulla rotta Roma-Abu Dhabi. Lo ha annunciato Lorna Dalziel, general manager Italy di Etihad Airways, spiegando - in occasione della celebrazione del quinto anno di collegamenti Milano-Abu Dhabi della compagnia - che "la novita' che presentiamo oggi e' il code share con Alitalia che, dal primo dicembre, operera' da Roma con una frequenza di 4 giorni a settimana per Abu Dhabi e noi avremo il nostro code-share su di loro". Il vettore dell'emirato pensa di rafforzarsi ulteriormente nel nostro Paese, ma aspetta che il mercato del trasporto aereo nostrano trovi una soluzione ai propri problemi. Al momento "non ha in progetto nuovi voli su Malpensa", ma non e' detto che la sua strategia possa cambiare se lo scalo dovesse presentare nuove opportunita', come per altro ha individuato la ricerca presentata dall'European House Ambrosetti al forum di inizio settembre. Lo ha affermato la stessa dirigente, spiegando che "se l'aeroporto di Malpensa dovesse veramente diventare piu' attraente questo aiuterebbe le nostre rotte, avremo piu' flusso di traffico dalle altre compagnie europee", aspetto che finora e' stato penalizzato dalla preferenza dei vettori per lo scalo di Linate. Altra ricaduta positiva, ha aggiunto, sarebbe "l'aumento del nostro load factor". Tuttavia, ha spiegato a margine dell'evento, "se consideriamo il business plan dei prossimi 5 anni, sicuramente per Malpensa ci sara' un rafforzamento delle nostre attivita', pero' potrebbe essere tra un anno come tra 5". Credo che un secondo volo verrebbe gestito con A320, come per QR. Dato che ad AUH l'ondata hub principale sta diventando quella del mattino, ipotizzerei la rotazione con partenza di mattina e arrivo nel primo pomeriggio a MXP operata con A330, mentre quella con partenza da AUH nel cuore della notte con A320.

Job Purpose

You will manage the Guest Experience on a shift basis ensuring that service delivery conforms to regulatory, operational, safety and customer service standards within a cost effective environment. Manages all elements of the Guest Experience whilst on duty.
Responsibilities

Your responsibilities shall include but not limited to:

Deliver an inspirational Guest Experience performance at the outstation, whilst managing relationships with relevant internal and external parties.
Represent EY as a brand ambassador at station ensuring inspirational levels of customer service to all EY guests ensuring VIP and other premium guests receive Inspired Service on the ground
Ensure that all airport activities are delivered safely and securely in compliance with Etihad corporate, local and CAR OPS regulatory standards.
Manage and audit Service Levels with 3rd parties
Plan and conduct regular quality audits to monitor compliance with agreed KPIs, identify gaps and implement improvement plans where necessary.
Ensure that opportunities to optimize airport revenues are identified and delivered.
Provide expert advice on suite of products and services as well as those of alliance partners by using, developing and maintaining strong product knowledge
Ensure that all ground services business is delivered in accordance with the Etihad values.
Responsible for the delivery of delay, disruption and diversion plans.
Other ad hoc duties as detailed by the business as and when required.
Responsible and accountable for identifying safety risks in accordance with risk assessment process, and ensures that adequate risk mitigation steps are appropriately implemented in order to ascertain safety within the workplace

Requirements

Degree level education is preferred or relevant industry experience, with a demonstrable sound knowledge of airport operations and customer service preferably gained in 4-5 years working experience with an airline or ground handling agency ideally with 1-2 years supervisory experience.

Training & Knowledge:

Strong written and verbal English and Italian language
Computer literate

The position is part time with mimimum 20 working hrs/week

Garuda Indonesia starting 28OCT12 will begin codeshare operation with ETIHAD, where “GA” code will appear on 15 routes in Middle East and Europe operated by ETIHAD, including Jakarta – Abu Dhabi and Kuala Lumpur – Abu Dhabi.

As part of the deal with ETIHAD for traffic feed and stimulation, the airline from 02DEC12 will shift 4 weekly Jakarta – Dubai – Amsterdam route will to Jakarta – Abu Dhabi – Amsterdam, with A330-200 aircraft.

As of 16OCT12′s GDS timetable listing, Garuda Indonesia’s “GA” code will appear on 28 routes operated by ETIHAD, covering 4 continents, including Jakarta – Abu Dhabi and Kuala Lumpur – Abu Dhabi from 28OCT12.
