Ieri ci sono stati tre controlli di sicurezza all'aeroporto di Charleroi : uno sulla strada di accesso , uno all'ingresso nel terminal , e poi il controllo normale . Ryanair consiglia di presentarci tre ore prima della partenza.

BRU sarà chiuso anche domani 25 marzo, per il quarto giorno consecutivo:

Brussels Airport extends its deepest sympathy to the friends and relatives of the victims of the explosions in the departures hall on Tuesday.

Following these attacks, there will be no passenger flights into and out of Brussels Airport today, today Thursday 24 March and tomorrow Friday 25 March.

Because the forensic investigation is still underway, we currently have no access to the building. Until we can assess the damage, it remains unclear when we can resume operations.

Tra gli effetti collaterali della situazione , tutti i parcheggi dell' aeroporto vicini al terminal restano chiusi quindi molti si trovano con l'auto "sequestrata" senza possibilità di riprenderla:

Molti dei voli europei di SN sono in partenza/arrivo dagli aeroporti di Anversa e Liegi. Io sono tornato con un mezzo alternativo e sto cercando di capire se la mia prenotazione per il volo di ritorno rimane valida. Purtroppo è impossibile comunicare con il call center.

Secondo studio aperto ci sono alte minacce per LHR e LGW e Londra.

Le minacce per LHR e LGW sono costanti e continue e non fanno quasi piu' notizia. Londra e' a un livello di allerta 3 da almeno un anno e mezzo. I servizi di sicurezza Inglesi si sono dimostrati piu' efficienti. Di recente sono stati condannati (in tribunale) due persone per aver progettato un attentato terroristico, attentato che non si e' mai verificato.

Brussels National Airport will remain closed until further notice pending the completion of investigations into Tuesday's terrorist attacks which killed at least 30 people and wounded about 230 others.

In a statement, airport management said the terminal had been cordoned off for the duration of forensic investigations.

"Until we can assess the damage, it remains unclear when we can resume operations," it said.

In the meantime, operators using the airfield have put in place contingency measures. Brussels Airlines (SN, Brussels National) has announced it will operate limited regional European flights from Liège and Antwerp airports. According to Luchtzak, Brussels Airlines' long-haul operations will temporarily be moved to Zurich where connections with Star Alliance partner Swiss (LX, Zurich) can be offered. Several of the carrier's A330 aircraft have already been ferried to African airports to resume operations.

Fellow Belgian carrier Jetairfly (TB, Brussels National) has announced it will be using Brussels Charleroi and Ostend for its operational needs during the upcoming Easter holidays. Likewise Ryanair (FR, Dublin Int'l) has also begun shifting some National/Zaventem flights across to Brussels Charleroi. Thomas Cook Airlines Belgium (HQ, Brussels National) has published a statement that it will operate all Brussels flights from/to Liège until Monday, March 28.

brussels airlines starting Thursday 24MAR16 gradually resumes long-haul operation, however with the extended closure of Brussels Zaventem Airport (BRU), the airline is operating service out of Lufthansa Group’s hub at Frankfurt and Zurich. Current schedule listing in the GDS, as well as on the airline’s website, is available until 25MAR16. Selected flight operation as been posted for 26MAR16, although further changes is possible.

As of morning hours on 25MAR16, the airline has loaded additional flights for 26MAR16, as well as preliminary schedule for 27MAR16 in the GDS. Further changes to these planned flights remain highly possible.

brussels airlines has posted planned short/medium-haul operations for the Easter Weekend, from 25MAR16 to 27MAR16. Due to the extended closure of Brussels Zaventem Airport (BRU), the airline will continue to operate service to/from Antwerp and Liege. Majority of the schedule on 25MAR16 has been confirmed by the airline, which are reflected in the GDS.

Schedules on 26MAR16 and 27MAR16 remains preliminary, and will see further update later in the day, which will appear as separate post on Airline Route, once flight info is loaded in the reservation system. As usual additional flights may see last-minute changes due to fleet assignment.

Sono stato personalmente coinvolto da questi eventi essendo il giorno dell'attentato, già imbarcato sul volo IB3207 per Madrid. Se vi va potrei raccontare la mia esperienza, magari allegando qualche foto..
