Crisi in Brasile: chiusure e riduzioni delle compagnie aeree

Apro questo thread per raggruppare tutte le notizie di chiusure e riduzioni di voli verso il Brasile a seguito della forte crisi che sta colpendo il paese.

Alle già note riduzioni di BA e AF oggi si aggiunge la notizia di Korean che abbandona il Brasile e riduzioni di frequenza di IB.

Korean Air Ends Brazil Service in Sep 2016

Korean Air in Late-September 2016 is discontinuing service to Brazil, where it currently operates Seoul Incheon – Los Angeles – Sao Paulo Guarulhos route 3 times a week. The Skyteam member resumed operation on this route in June 2008. Last flight departs Sao Paulo on 24SEP16.

KE062 GRU1255 – 2150LAX2355 – 0515+2ICN 332 246

As a result of this adjustment, overall Seoul Incheon – Los Angeles sector will be reduced from 17 to 14 weekly. Korean Air first served Brazil in October 1992.

IBERIA Rio de Janeiro Frequency Changes in NW16

IBERIA starting in Northern winter season plans to reduce Madrid – Rio de Janeiro Galeao route, as the airline revises operational frequencies from 6 to 5 weekly. Operational changes will be in effect from 01OCT16 to 26MAR17.

The following schedule is effective for the month of October 2016.

IB6025 MAD1150 – 1720GIG 333 x23
IB6024 GIG1840 – 0940+1MAD 333 x23

From 30OCT16, service operates with A340 aircraft.

AIRFRANCE to End Brasilia Service in mid-Sep 2016

AIRFRANCE in this week’s inventory update has removed Paris CDG – Brasilia service, as the airline schedules last flight on 11SEP16. Flights on/after 13SEP16 is no longer available to book. During Northern summer season, the Skyteam member operates this route 3 times a week, with 777-200ER aircraft.

Existing schedule as follow.

British Airways NW16 Rio de Janeiro Operation Changes

British Airways in recent schedule update has revised planned operational frequencies for London Heathrow – Rio de Janeiro Galeao route, effective from 30OCT16 to 25MAR17. During Northern winter 2016/17 season, BA operates this route 5 times a week, instead of daily.

4-class Boeing 777-200ER aircraft operates this route.

Ormai quasi ogni giorno si aggiunge qualche compagnia che riduce voli o capacità sul Brasile, si era parlato anche di possibili riduzioni da parte di Alitalia dopo l'estate

in realtà ho fatto con AF la tratta CDG/BSB in settimana e in J load factor 30% in Y+ 50% in Y buttato occhio intorno al 60%...disastro...
 
Continuano le chiusure è la volta della SIN-BCN-GRU di SQ, la tratta BCN-GRU viene sospesa.

SIA has at the same time taken the difficult decision to suspend services to Sao Paulo in Brazil as a result of the sustained weak performance of the route. SIA operates three weekly flights to Sao Paulo via Barcelona and the last flight will be operated on October 20, 2016. Services between Singapore and Barcelona will continue to be operated.

in pratica AF cancella un 3xw su Brasilia e un 3xw su Rio de Janeiro.
se non erro, in passato volava su Rio fino a 14xw, infatti si parlò sul forum delle "perplessità" di AF al momento dell'apertura di AZ della rotta.

Secondo dei dati pubblicati su questo forum Az ha avuto LF altissimi su GIG e GRU a gennaio e febbraio.
Non sappiamo gli Yields ma i LF erano buonissimi.
Invece proprio quello di Singapore erano molto bassi quindi non mi sorprende la chiusura.
 
E anche AIR CANADA chiude Rio de Janeiro. In quanti sopravviveranno?

Air Canada in October 2016 is ending service on Toronto – Rio de Janeiro, where it currently serves 3 times a week. Last flight from Toronto is scheduled on on 07OCT16, Rio de Janeiro on 08OCT16. Operational schedule on board the 767 as follow.

Lufthansa chiude MUC-GRU dal 30 ottobre, non che fosse così imprevedibile visto come stanno andando i voli LH in Brasile in generale, forse tra quelli più in sofferenza dall'Europa.


Lufthansa announced that will axe its MUC-GRU service due to the current challenging Brazilian economic scenario. The cancellation, effective 30OCT16 is already in the reservation systems.

The other flights to Brazil operated by the group's airlines will remain unchanged, for now. The flights are:

LH500/501 - FRA-GIG-FRA - 74H - DAILY
LX093/094 - ZRH-GRU-ZRH - 343 - DAILY

Vedremo se seguiranno altre modifiche da parte del gruppo
 
Lufthansa rimane comunque presente a servire San Paolo coi voli da Francoforte e da Zurigo di Swiss.
 
Ho fatto una ricerca per fine agosto/settembre: Az sembra, almeno in Brasile, andare piuttosto bene. Voli piuttosto pieni, prezzi piuttosto alti, la Y+ spesso esaurita (a/r sui 1000-1200 in Y).
