Cathay e ANA per ora non interessate a 380

Airbus's hopes to make some quick sales of the A380 to ANA and Cathay Pacific Airways appear to have faded, with the former playing down speculation that it is on the verge of ordering the aircraft. A spokesperson told ATWOnline yesterday that ANA is "continuously in talks with the manufacturers and will watch the introduction of the A380 with interest and examine it and the 747-8I when the time is right." At last month's handover of the first A380 to Singapore Airlines, Airbus COO-Customers John Leahy told this website that the manufacturer was discussing the aircraft with ANA, CX and Air India. CX CEO Tony Tyler told German media that his airline is not interested in the A380 in its present form and would only be interested if it had greater range or more cargo capacity.

Stanno aspettando la versione lunga del 380 e forse stanno anche tirando il prezzo tra 380 e 748?!?[:305]

Sembra che la capacità di trasportare anche cargo, da parte di un 380 pieno di pax, non sia entusiasmante.

Per quanto riguarda i giapponesi, non saprei commentare, anche se mi danno l'idea di essere interessati a saperne almeno di più sul 748.

La strategia CX invece è chiara: la compagnia punta a servire i propri scali (non moltissimi) con frequenze piuttosto alte, la conseguenza è che servono tanti aerei mid-size e pochi molto grossi.
