BA overhauls guidelines for dealing with dead passengers

British Airways has overhauled its guidelines for cabin crew on how to deal with passengers who die during a flight.
It says crew will no longer try to leave a deceased passenger in their seat wearing sunglasses and with a newspaper open in front of them.
Although the airline admits it used to present dead passengers as if they were asleep, it now says passengers are moved to a spare first class seat if one is available.
It also says cabin crew have been told never to leave a dead passenger in the toilet, because rigor mortis can set in and make it difficult to get them back out again.
