Finalmente qualcosa si muove anche in BMI baby.
Tra tutte le low cost britanniche, è quella che negli ultimi anni si è sviluppata meno, con un network attuale praticamente identico a quello di 2/3 anni fa...
Tralaltro, già che si parla di BMI baby, segnalo che la compagnia dal prossimo orario invernale, chiuderà la sua base di Teesside liberando 2 aerei che verranno posizionati (probabilmente) a BHX...
NO-frills airline operator bmibaby issued a blow to the region this morning when it announced it was pulling out of Durham Tees Valley Airport.
The UK's second biggest low-cost airline is cancelling all flights to and from Cork, Paris and London Gatwick from October 29, and all flights to and from Alicante, Malaga and Palma from November 6.
Bmibaby Managing director Crawford Rix said despite advertising and marketing the flights since launching them nearly three years ago, the airline had been unable to create a commercially viable operation.

The two aircraft based at the airport will be transferred to other bases. Up to 50 employees could be either made redundant or redeployed.
Durham Tees Valley Airport today described the announcement as quite inexplicable, saying it was only five months ago that bmibaby doubled its capacity out of the airport to meet passenger demand.
A statement from the airport said: "This makes the decision all the more confusing."

Certo che per l'aeroporto Durham Tees Valley perdere la base BmiBaby con 2 aerei basati e sei rotte che verrano chiuse è un brutto colpo.

BMI baby va via da MME perchè LF e yield erano scarsi quindi non penso che ci sia una compagnia tanto autolesionista da prenderle il posto...
Piuttosto penso che molte compagnie (come Jet2, Ryanair, FlyBE...) si offriranno di riprotteggere i pax sui loro voli
