Aereo si schianta sull'autostrada a Dubai
Il velivolo cargo è precipitato non lontano da una zona residenziale. Tutti morti i membri dell'equipaggio.

MILANO - Un aereo si è schiantato su un'autostrada a Dubai innescando un incendio. Lo riporta la rete al Arabyia. Il velivolo apparteneva a una compagnia statunitense. Lo riferisce la stessa tv panaraba al Arabiya con una scritta «urgente» in sovrimpressione. Le ambulanze stanno correndo sul posto, vicino ad un distretto residenziale, ha aggiunto l'emittente.

Cargo plane crashes in Dubai after take off (Staff reporter)

3 September 2010, 8:22 PMA cargo aircraft has crashed near Global Village on the Emirates Road in Dubai on Friday evening, setting some cars on fire, Dubai police said.

Col. Omer Al shamsi, Deputy Director of Operations Room of Dubai Police, said the cargo plane belonging to UPS crashed 2 minutes after taking off from Dubai International Airport. The crash site also near to the Military Campus on Emirates Road and all the crewmen are reported dead. A witness reported a ball of fire near the road. Details are awaited.

A UPS Boeing 747-400, registration N571UP, was on approach to Dubai's runway 30L, declared emergency and veered off course crashing onto a free space west of Dubai Silicon Oasis and Al-Ain Highway (E66), about half way between Emirates Road (E311) and road E611. Both crew perished in the crash.

A UPS Boeing 747-400, registration N571UP performing flight 5X-6 from Dubai (United Arab Emirates) to Cologne (Germany) with 2 crew, was returning to Dubai's runway 30L after declaring emergency , when the airplane crashed onto a free space west of Dubai Silicon Oasis and Al-Ain Highway (E66), about half way between Emirates Road (E311) and road E611. Both crew perished in the crash.

UPS confirmed their Boeing 747-400 performing flight 5X-6 from Dubai to Cologne with 2 crew crashed on takeoff. They have no word on the fate of their crew.

An airport official said, the crew reported technical problems while on approach to Dubai.

An United Arab Emirates official said, the crew reported fire on board while on approach to Dubai.

Residents of Dubai Silicon Oasis said, the airplane crashed right in front of their apartment blocks.
