Aviation Industry Corporation of China (AVIC) is a large state-owned aerospace enterprise authorized and invested in by the Chinese nation and under direct administration of the central government.
In order to attract talented people from home and abroad and to promote sustainable rapid development of the Corporation, Aviation Industry Corporation of China has initiated a global recruitment programme to engage 13 senior executives for its 12 subsidiary companies, business units and establishments. Each entity is under direct administration of AVIC and as independent legal entities, they make full decisions in management, have their own independent accounting system, assume sole responsibility for P&L, enjoy autonomous management & scope in making decisions on investments within authorised scope, and manage member companies as authorised by the Corporation.
· You will assist the President to manage domestic market development, system engineering management of defence products, quality and safety, and product services, participate in decisions-making;
· Develop and initiate strategic planning for domestic market development of aero-products;
· Organise and lead domestic market exploration of aero-products;
· Manage the development of defence products; and oversee the serial production management of defence products;
· The role will include planning and establishment of the quality, safety and service system of aero-products; and also organising and leading quality and safety management and products services.
Qualifications:
· You must be fluent in Mandarin
and be able to communicate in English also.
· An educational background in the fields related to aviation and the qualification for a senior professional title.
· Be familiar with national policies and organisation systems for scientific research & production management and quality & safety;
· Be familiar with general development situation of aviation technology home and abroad; and be aware of the trend and emphasis for the development of aircraft and missile models.
· Understand the level of development, general situation and trend of quality & safety management and product services of both domestic and international defence products;
· 5+ years of work experience in administrating, organising and leading defence products’ project management, quality & safety, and product services.
· Smooth customer communication channel and good customer service foundation.
The Person:
1. Applicants for the post of Vice President should have experience in either middle level management at headquarters of multinational corporation, domestic large state-owned enterprises or other large-sized enterprises, or the senior management at subsidiary companies, or over 3 years of work experience as Deputy Director General or equivalent at government departments or institutions.
2. You should have experience in middle-level and senior management at domestic or international well-known research institutes (including those of the government, enterprises, colleges and universities, etc.); or over 3 years of work experience as Deputy Director General or equivalent at government departments or institutions.
3. University degree or above is required; fluent in Mandarin as working language; and the ability to communicate in English.
