Estonian Air Regional receives AOC and Operating License
Estonian Air Regional, the subsidiary of Estonian Air, has received the air carrier's Operating Licence from the Estonian Ministry of Economic Affairs and Communications and the Air Operator Certificate (AOC) from Estonian Civil Aviation Administration.
This made it possible to enter the Saab 340 aircraft of Estonian Air Regional into the Estonian aircraft registry. Until yesterday the fleet of Estonian Air Regional was in the Swedish registry and the flights were operated under the AOC of the Swedish carrier Golden Air. Own AOC and Operating Licence simplify running of the company and make the operations more effective.
Estonian Air founded Estonian Air Regional, a 100% owned subsidiary, in summer 2007. Estonian Air Regional operates shorter regional flights of Estonian Air with two SAAB 340 aircraft. Estonian Air Regional operates the Tallinn-Vilnius, Tallinn-Helsinki, Tallinn-Minsk and Kuressaare-Stockholm routes.
