American Airlines Cancels New York JFK – Brussels Service from Nov 2012

American Airlines starting 05NOV12 is cancelling New York JFK – Brussels service, where it currently operates with Boeing 757 aircraft on daily basis. Reservation for this route for travel on/after 05NOV12 (BRU departure on/after 06NOV12) is now closed.

AA launched New York JFK – Brussels service between 11MAY89 and 30SEP97, and from 16MAY04 till 06NOV12.

Previously planned schedule for Winter season:

AA172 JFK1815 – 0755+1BRU 757 D
AA171 BRU1000 – 1240JFK 757 D

Volo storico che viene chiuso, davvero un peccato. Io lo presi almeno 3 o 4 volte prima che AA aprisse il volo su Malpensa (allora il feeder era di SN da LIN/MXP)
 
Brussels Airlines ha recentemente aperto il BRU-JFK utilizzando un A330 riconfigurato con muovi prodotti (business class stile Swiss). Sulla rotta opera anche Delta e Jet Airways, cui si aggiungono due voli per Newark con United e Jet, per cui la concorrenza era molta.

Jet ha chiuso il volo BRU-JFK a seguito dell' avvio della stessa rotta da parte di SN.
