Alitalia airline wants to operate flights to Moldova

Alitalia airline will operate flights to Moldova beginning with the summer of 2012. The airline established a partnership with Moldavian Airlines in order to operate its flights to the destination.
The Italian company, member of Sky Team, wants to offer reasonable fares for its air services to and from Chisinau. Currently, Alitalia’s deals for a round trip from Bucharest to Milano costs 114 Euro, while for a flight from Bucharest to Rome the passengers have to pay 125 Euro.
The regional representative of Alitalia added that such a partnership can be established if the Agreement on the Common Airspace of the EU with Moldova will be signed.
Furthermore, Marco Rottino, the official representative of the Italian airline will meet tomorrow with Victor Bodiu, the Secretary General of the Government, as well as with officials from the Ministry of Transportation to talk on the implementation of the project.
