The aircraft has been modified into a “Large Cargo Door” configuration. Farnair, that is now operating 6 ATR Freighters converted at Alenia Aeronavali, 3 of which equipped with Large Cargo Door, continues its plan of aircraft acquisitions, thus confirming the outstanding characteristics of the ATR Freighter and its partnership with Alenia Aeronavali, a leader company in the freighter conversion business.
Farnair is a leading European feeder airline for cargo integrators and postal services and is also active in the ad-hoc cargo market, where the Large Cargo Door (71” x 116”) is providing customers with an extended service unique in this size of aircraft.
The ATR Freighter conversion, certificated by the original manufacturer (ATR, an Alenia Aeronautica and EADS joint company) offers a wide choice of configurations, from Light Tube modification for bulk cargo to Full Modification with new Large Cargo Door for standard container/pallet loads. Options are also offered to satisfy a wide range of requirements.
