Due nuove rotte da Parigi: Lima e Orlando dal 2011

Il traffico business, dopo un calo sensibile, ha registrato una ripresa sia nel mercato francese sia in quello italiano. A dirlo Christian Boireau, responsabile delle vendite in Francia di Air France. “La compagnia ha continuato a investire in questo segmento”, ha aggiunto. Il manager ha anticipato l’apertura di due nuove rotte da Parigi: si tratta di Lima e Orlando, a partire dal 2011.

Bene era ora che si espandesse anche in Sud America
 
Lima è ottima davvero, ci vola già KLM tra l'altro.
SkyTeam potrà offrire voli dall'Europa via CDG (AF), AMS (KL), MAD (UX).
Unica altra concorrente Iberia, almeno come europea.
 
Posto qui anche le indiscrezioni su KLM per l'anno prossimo. Ciò che è emerso dal forum in corso a Vancouver.

Population of Netherlands: 16 million, ranked number 61 in the World
Annual passenger traffic Amsterdam Schiphol Handled in 2009: 44 million, ranked number 14 in the World

On A380: Never say never. Boeing 777-300ER is just big enough for us right now

On New routes: We don’t start a flight and drop it 6 months after

On European routes: apart for political interference, we fly minimum twice a day to most destinations

Plans for Summer 2011
Re-introduction of 7th connection bank, made possible by spread out existing connection bank, where certain bank are busier than other banks

“Additional” 2 to 4 Long-haul points expected, but under early stage of study and discussion (at the World Route Development Forum)

Expectation of additional 20 frequencies to Europe (additional 15 – 20 possible in S12)

Immagino siano da intendersi come +20 frequenze giornaliere (+altre 15/20 al dì l'anno successivo). Fosse così si potrebbe sia aumentare le rotte esistenti che aprire qualcosa di nuovo di interessante, anche in Europa.

Starting in June 2011, Air France will operate flights to Lima (Peru) and Orlando (Florida).

There will be 5 weekly flights to Lima by Boeing 777-200 equipped with 309 seats, every day except Monday and Wednesday

Schedule:

* Paris CDG - Lima: Leaves at 10:35 – Arrives at 15:50
* Lima – Paris CDG: Leaves at 19:25 – Arrives at 14:25

Peru is an up-and-coming tourist destination. Together with the daily flight operated on departure from Amsterdam, Air France and KLM will be offering 12 weekly flights between Europe and Lima.

There will be 3 weekly flights to Orlando (on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays) by Boeing 777-300 equipped with 472 seats.

Schedule:

* Paris CDG - Orlando: Leaves at 13:30 – Arrives at 16:50
* Orlando - Paris CDG: Leaves at 20:55 – Arrives at 11:20

Orlando is the leading tourist destination in the United States, with over 50 million tourists every year and is also the second most important American conference centre.

This new route will be operated within the framework of the trans-Atlantic joint venture agreement signed in May 2009 between Air France-KLM and Delta. Under the terms of this agreement, the partners jointly operate and share the revenues and costs of their trans-Atlantic routes. Alitalia became a member of this joint venture on July 5, 2010.

Dal comunicato stampa sembra che su Orlando useranno il B777/300ER in versione "territori oltre mare" ossia ad alta densità con 472 posti (14 affaires, 36 alize e 422 economy).

Invece su LIM la configurazione a 309 posti non è da B772 AF.
