Air Belgium: si avvicina la fine per la nuova compagnia belga

Più che altro mi pare che non avessero pensato di fare niente di specifico. Un po' di questo e un po' di quello: cargo, standalone, wet lease... Il trasporto aereo premia l'economia di scala: è possibile iniziare ovviamente da una misura piccola, ma si deve scalare rapidamente per ritagliarsi e difendere uno spazio. L'idea di poter sopravvivere con pochi aerei e con capitalizzazione inadeguata è assurda.

Vero, però si erano buttati subito sul NAM, al solito…pensando di far le scarpe al sistema strutturato di SN/Star!

Be', insomma... quando erano partiti avevano annunciato di voler collegare il Belgio con la Cina. Lanciarono CRL-HKG ma quando già avevano contratti di wet lease in corso per il gruppo AF-KL. Poi fecero un po' di totorotte (MIA annunciata ma mai partita) fino al COVID. Poi cargo, altra linea e molto altro wet lease.
NAM mai fatto come linea ma -- se ben ricordo -- solo in wetlease per conto terzi (LOT e British).

Hai ragione, ero rimasto a queste news di MAY23 dove si diceva che “…Today, the CEO confirms that Air Belgium will offer flights to the United States…” , quindi in effetti solo fuffa, tranne poi il wet lease per LO e BA.
