La rotta è di pochissimo più lunga della Malpensa-Dakar che Alitalia opera con A 320 (schedulato 6 ore in andata e 5.40 in ritorno).
Anche Austrian vola col 738 da VIE a DXB, cosi come Tarom da OTP col 737, Olympic da ATH col 734, Jat Airways da BEG col 733, Ukraine Intl. ci va da KBP col 737 cosi come la collega ucraina Aerosvit col 733 e pure la ceka Travel Service con servizi charter, anche dall'Italia (FCO/BLQ) per fine anno.

Gia che stiamo sulla tema, Air Malta operera' dei voli charter su Dubai che si possono acquistare dalle agenzie di viaggio maggiori (e.g. Mondial Holidays e altre) che stanno vendendo il solo volo a partire da Lm49 (€114) a/r, tasse escluse.

dai comunque 6 ore non sono un inferno...sicuramente non si stara' comodi comodi, pero' ne avevamo gia' parlato, altri operatori volano anche piu' lontano con 737 o 320, quindi... portar pazienza!

Czech Airlines to stop to fly to Dubai
Prague, Dec 11 (CTK) - Czech Airlines (CSA) will cancel direct flights to Dubai as of January 6 especially because they were not profitable in the long-run, daily Mlada fronta Dnes (MfD) writes today with reference to CSA spokeswoman Daniela Hupakova.
The decision to cancel the flights was taken as late as last week and passengers with reservations for the cancelled flights will be entitled to tickets with another company.
The cancellation of flights to Dubai where CSA flies three times a week has nothing to do with the decision on the future of CSA's long-haul fleet. The decision was to be taken this year, but the future of long-haul flights will be known as late as next year, MfD said.
Because of CSA's huge losses, the company's new management has cancelled flights to Cork, Edinburgh and Luxembourg this year, the paper reminded its readers.
"It is part of our strategy to abandon those flights that are not successful. New data on the potential of markets showed that demand on this route is not high enough for a regular flight to make profits," Hupakova said.
Another reason behind the end of flights to Dubai is the shift in demand by Czechs travelling for exotic holidays. "Czech travel agencies flew frequently with us to Dubai, but their interest has decreased now," said Hupakova. The demand has shifted for instance to the Caribbean area to which CSA flies as well.
There is no other direct connection between Prague and the Middle East at present. Prague airport operator Letiste Praha wants to attract some of local air carriers, said director Hana Cernochova. For instance Qatar Airways has recently announced its interest in central Europe, but no company has confirmed its arrival in Prague yet.

CSA non poteva competere con un volo 3x weekly quando AF, LH, KLM hanno un 2x daily, BA 3x daily in alcuni giorni, e LX, VS, OS e altri ci volano con un daily (o cuasi), per non parlare di altre compagnie. L'O&D entro PRG & DXB non c'era.
E' un peccato che se ne vanno... Ma poi e' sempre cosi: chi viene e chi se ne va!
