Air France-KLM today announced the 2007/08 Winter schedule operation.

The overall seat capacity growth for Air France-KLM Group is 5.2% compared to 2006/07 Winter. 6.2% increase on long-haul and 1.8% on the short/medium-haul network.

AIR FRANCE
Air France will be strengthening long-haul growth in Latin America, Africa and Asia. Medium-haul network sees the strengthening presence in London City Airport, as well as additional frequencies to North Africa.

Long-haul
*6.4% Increase in ASK on long-haul schedule

*Additional 28 weekly frequencies on long-haul network, including 11 flights to Latin America (16.6% capacity increase)
*Rio de Janeiro is receiving 2 daily flights, as well as Sao Paulo (up from 12 weekly earlier this year)
*Continuation of separate nonstop service to Santiago de Chile and Buenos Aires, both served daily

*New Paris - Seattle service is maintained with 5 weekly A330-200

*Capacity to Asia is up by 7.7%
*Hong Kong and Shanghai each gets 12 weekly instead of 10
*4th weekly service to Chennai
*Code-share with QANTAS via Hong Kong to Australia, as well as Singapore - Denpasar sector, is maintained

*10.2% increase in capacity to Africa with the introduction of 2nd daily 777-300ER to Johannesburg
*2 additional flights to Malabo, totaling 6 weekly A319
*Niamey will have additional flights (3 weekly), as well as Ouagadougou (6 weekly)

*Capacity to Middle East is up 4% thanks to 13th weekly flight to Dubai

*Fort de France and Pointe-a-Pitre will be receiving 2 daily flights
*Daily to Havana, Saint-Martin, and Mauritius
*Resumption of nonstop flight to Santo Domingo (3 weekly) and 5 weekly to Punta Cana (5 weekly iso 4)
*Basing of 2nd A320 in Pointe-a-Pitre, allowing boosting capacity in the regional network, which will also covers Paramaribo, Saint-Martin and Santo Domingo

Medium-Haul
*2% increase of ASK

*2 additional new flights, introduced on 03SEP07 out of London City to the following will be maintained: Dundee (totals 4 daily), Edinburgh (totals 7 daily)
*London - Strasbourg service will be switched from Gatwick to City, with 3rd daily flight
*In total there will be 10 destinations served by Air France with CityJet out of London City

*3 Daily Paris CDG - Bristol flight launched in Summer 2007 is maintained in winter

*North African service will see 5th daily to Tunis, 2nd daily to Rabat
*Algiers flight will now be operated out of Paris CDG, 3 daily

*Lyon hub offering new features, including 4 daily Lyon - Amsterdam (which will be operated by Air France instead of KLM), plus 3 new routes
*New routes from Lyon are: 2 daily to Birmingham, 2 daily to Hamburg, and weekend service to Florence

*Reorganization of Domestic schedule followed by the opening of TGV East, is maintained.
*Orly - Metz has been suspended and 4 Orly - Strasbourg frequencies will be cancelled
*6th daily flight on the Paris CDG - Bordeaux flight

KLM
KLM is boosting long-haul capacity that focuses on the Middle East, and the Northern/Eastern Europe for short-haul.


Middle East Expansion
Capacity will be increased by 14.6% with the resumption to Muscat (via Kuwait) from 03DEC07. The total number of flights in the region will be 8, and total number of intercontinental destinations served by KLM will be 60.

*14 weekly iso 13 for Dubai, all operated by 777-200ER
*5th frequency will be launched for Dammam and Doha with A330-200

Trans-Atlantic
*Continuation of the Trans-Atlantic operation results in 8.9% capacity increase compared to previous winter.

*9 weekly to Toronto iso 7
*1 Daily to Atlanta iso 5 weekly
*Daily 777-200ER to San Francisco
*nwa NORTHWEST AIRLINES continue to operate Boeing 757 on the 4th daily Detroit - Amsterdam.
*nwa NORTHWEST AIRLINES continue to operate 3rd daily A330-300 on Minneapolis - Amsterdam
*nwa NORTHWEST AIRLINES continue to operate B757 service on Hartford - Amsterdam, and the 2nd daily Amsterdam - Boston as well as the daily Detroit - Dusseldorf


*In Asia, there will be 10 weekly to Shanghai, bringing total number of weekly flights served by Air France-KLM to 22 weekly.
*Air France-KLM in total will operate 63 weekly flights to China
*There will be 6 weekly to Hyderbad (up from 4) with MD11, and a daily 747-400 to Delhi (upgrade in capacity)

*In Latin America, the daily nonstop to Lima on 777-200ER and 6th weekly to Quito and Guayaquil will be maintained
*B777-300ER service to Sao Paulo, 3 of 7 weekly flight, which boosts capacity by additional 10%

Medium/Short-Haul
*In Europe, expanded frequencies to Barcelona, Moscow, Stavanger and Tallinn are being maintained.
*Increase from 2 to 3 daily on Amsterdam - Marseille
*Overall capacity increase in ASK is 1.3%
