A passenger plane passing through UK airspace had to make an emergency landing today following reports of chemical fumes in the cabin.
The American Airlines' Boeing 767 had taken off from Paris and was being handled by UK air traffic control company Nats when the cockpit crew requested permission to divert.
The plane, thought to be heading for Dallas in Texas, landed safely at Keflavik airport.
Keflavik airport spokesman Fridthor Eydal said several passengers had complained of dizziness.

There are reports coming in about an American Airlines flight being forced to make an emergency landing in Iceland. It’s not clear yet where the plane was heading to but it’s believed it took off from Paris.
According to early reports, some passengers were complaining of feeling dizzy, maybe because of chemical fumes in the cabin.
Fridthor Eydal, a Keflavik Airport spokesman says the flight is due to land around 13:45 p.m. GMT. Emergency teams are already assembled at the landing site.
