Qatar Airways and Cathay Pacific Airways have reached a strategic agreement that will offer customers a more seamless experience to and from Asia.

With this move, Cathay Pacific Airways will commence non-stop service between Hong Kong and Doha.

Cathay Pacific Adds Hong Kong – Doha and Reciprocal Codeshare with QATAR Airways from late-March 2014

From 30MAR14, Cathay Pacific and QATAR Airways will launch reciprocal codeshare operation, based on latest GDS timetable/inventory listing. With this codeshare operation, Cathay Pacific will takeover QATAR’s 1 of 2 daily service.

At time this post goes to press, QATAR Airways’ codeshare service operated by Cathay Pacific is currently unavailable for reservation. In the GDS, Cathay Pacific operating flight is currently remarked as “ENTIRE FLT- H/ SEGMENT NOT TO BE DISPLAYED” under Flight Information section.

E che c'e' oltre al C/S su questa rotta? l'accesso alle lounges è dato dal fatto che sono membri OW, non da questo accordo "strategico"

Cathay apre Manchester-Hong Kong 4 volte a settimana da Dicembre 2014.

Se ricordo bene la rotta era servita, molti anni fa, con scalo intermedio in Europa, quindi si tratterebbe di una riapertura.
Finora MAN era servita, dalle asiatiche, solo da SQ via MUC.
