747 Cargolux urta un'auto di servizio in atterraggio a LUX

Davvero singolare questo incidente di oggi al Findel di Lussemburgo.
Un 747 Cargolux in atterraggio a LUX, proveniente da Barcellona, ha urtato con la ruota il tetto di un'auto di servizio dell'aeroporto che era parcheggiata sulla pista per dei lavori di manutenzione. Sull'aeroporto lussemburghese era presente nebbia fitta.

A Cargolux Boeing 747-400 freighter, registration LX-OCV performing flight CV-7933 from Barcelona,SP (Spain) to Luxemburg (Luxemburg), was cleared to land on Luxemburg's runway 24 in low visibility due to fog (RVR 350 meters), when one of the tyres went through the roof of a van parked on the runway at 12:53L (11:53Z). The airplane landed safely, the driver of the van escaped with just a shock, the van received substantial damage, the airplane suffered damage to the tyre.

Luxemburg's Ministry of Transport reported, that the van had entered the runway to perform maintenance work at the runway ground lighting. Three investigations have been initiated. The Ministry did not tell, whether the van had been cleared to enter the runway.

Secondo me l'assicurazione tirera fuori storie... alla fine è un incidente "interno"... secondo me hanno fatto apposta... per cambiare il furgone con i soldi dell'assicurazione!

First preliminary results of the investigations into the incident were released on Saturday (Jan 23rd) stating, that the van had been cleared to enter the runway to perform maintenance work. At that time the Cargolux Boeing had not yet begun its approach.

Esattamente quello che avevo pensato.
Nonostante tutto, in mezzo al nebbione, sono stati pure "fortunati" a trovarsi in quella posizione. Più avanti non so cosa sarebbe rimasto del furgone (e sicuramente anche il 744 avrebbe rischiato molto di più...).

Mi sa che anche l'aereo non se la sarebbe passata tanto bene
