Emirates Prepares To Fly from Serbia's Belgrade to Various Intl Destinations - Media
BELGRADE (Serbia), October 14 (SeeNews) – United Arab Emirates (UAE) plans to sign an agreement with Serbia on acquiring flying rights that would permit the Emirates airline to launch flights to about 100 destinations from Serbia’s capital Belgrade, Serbian daily Blic reported on Wednesday.

www.emirates.com) will visit Belgrade to discuss the possibility of establishing the Serbian capital as their regional center.
Representatives of UAE’s Directorate of Civil Aviation will arrive in Belgrade on Wednesday to sign an agreement on flying rights between Serbia and UAE, domestic newspapers Blic and Novosti reported.
Airline representatives will accompany the delegation to present their business plan, according to the newspapers.
Aside from the regular Belgrade-Dubai route, the company wants to use the Serbian capital for flights to Australia, New Zealand, China, Africa, the Middle East and Asia. However, Emirates does not want to fly to these destinations on a temporary permit, according to the reports.
"Emirates has serious plans for air traffic between Belgrade and Dubai. For a long time the airline has wanted to establish Belgrade as its regional center through which we would daily transport passengers and goods to over 100 destinations in the world,” an Emirates source told Blic.

Accanto alla compagnia low-cost Fly Niki e Wizz Air, anche le grandi società Malèv ed Emirates contano di avere il più presto possibile accesso alle tratte aeree in partenza da Belgrado. La società austriaca Fly Niki ha chiesto alla Direzione di Aviazione civile un permesso temporaneo per i voli da Belgrado a Vienna, ma è ancora sottoposto alla procedura di esamina. Nel caso in cui la direzione darà una risposta positiva, Fly Niki volerà da Belgrado a partire dal 1 Febbraio, sei volte la settimana, con una tariffa di 29 euro, solo andata. La società di Niki Lauda, ha già presentato un'autorizzazione ma gli è stata rifiutato. Il piano presentato prevedeva una linea aerea Vienna-Belgrado, ad un prezzo di 18 euro, più le tasse. Al momento, sebbene non si è ancora giunta una risposta, ci si aspetta un esito positivo in riferimento ai requisiti specifici richiesti. Le società che attualmente hanno l'autorizzazione a volare da Belgrado sono la compagnia aerea tedesca Germanwings, le norvegesi Norwegian e Nordik Airlink. Quelle invece interessati a Belgrado sono, come anticipato, l'austriaca Fly Niki, le società ungheresi Wizz Air e Malev, nonchèp Emirates, degli Emirati Arabi Uniti.
