ADIRS
The ADIRS supplies temperature, barometric and inertial parameters to the EFIs, FMGC, FADEC, PRIM, SEC, SFCC, ATC, GPWS, CMC and CPC. The system includes 3 identical ADIRUs divided into 2 parts which can work separately, The ADR (Air Data Reference) part provides baro altitude, speed, Mach, AoA, temperature and overspeed warnings. The IR (Inertial Reference) part provides attitude, flight path vector, track, heading, accelerations, angular rates, ground speed, VS and aircraft position. 1 ADIRS control panel, 4 types of sensor (pitot, static, AoA & TAT). 8 ADMs which convert pneumatic data from pitot/static probes into digital data for the ADIRUs, switching facility providing ADR/IR 3 selection in case of ADIRU 1/2 failure and MAG/TRUE pb switch for polar navigation. Normal electrical supply is ADIRU #1 on AC1-1, #2 AC2-3, #3 AC1-2, backed-up by DC ESS and Hot Batt bus through its internal inverter. ADIRU 1 feeds DMC 1 & 3, thus normally Capt's PFD/ND and SSR 1, ADIRU 2 feeds DMC 2 & 3, thus normally F/O's PFD/ND and SSR 2 and ADIRU 3 feeds all DMCs. ADIRU 1 & 3 also feed the DDRMI.
