Speriamo di non leggere fra una manciata di anni che gli EMB non sono adatti, sono beoni, che non vanno bene per le rotte che operano....ecc ecc
Più o meno quanto ogni tanto si legge su "regionals" tipo S-2000, BAe 146 e via dicendo che hano avuto il loro momento (ancora ce l'hanno) eppure ogni sono visti "male".
Ma cosa esaminavano le compagnie quando li comperavano?

Che modelli sono, esattamente? (E-170, E-195, ecc.)

British Airways orders 11 Embraer 170/190s for CityFlyer

British Airways (BA) has ordered 11 Embraer regional jets for use by its BA CityFlyer subsidiary.
Embraer says in a statement that the deal comprises six Embraer 170s and five 190SRs on firm order, plus options for three more 190SRs.
The first 76-seat 170 is due for delivery in the second half of 2009. Deliveries of the larger, 98-seat 190SRs will start later, says Embraer.


BA had been evaluating replacements for some time for its Avro RJ100s and RJ85s that are operated by its CityFlyer unit. The new Embraer aircraft will be operated out of London City Airport.
As part of the agreement BA has also signed a support agreement covering inventory control for parts for the aircraft over the next decade.

Li prendono per usarli da LCY, quindi anche CAI potrebbe utilizzare i 170 di XM per LCY invece che gli Avro di Transwede giusto??
 
Sapevo che E170 non era autorizzato su LCY.

Sapevo che avevano fatto delle prove anche con l'A318 non sono mai riuscito a sapere l'esito....

Sia il 170 che il 318 sono macchine certificate allo steepapproach . Il 195 lo sarà a gennaio..infatti anche Baboo ha il 195 per usarlo su LCY

Baboo aveva comprato il 195 x volare su Mosca....

Bella notizia comunque.... LCY non e' piu' un aeroporto penalizzato dalla pista corta.

E quindi, entrambi sarebbero adatti anche alle piste da 1440m LDA/ASDA? (come QSR e FOG)

Mi sembrerebbe troppo bello per essere vero! :p

Baboo ha utlizzato l'E195 su FLR con passeggeri e valige previste x un Saab. Non a pieno carico.

Non vorrei ricordare che Alitalia ha rinunciato ad operare con l'E170 su Firenze , nonostante le numerose prove.
